Republicans are eager to justify tax cuts by promising growth and tax gains that history has shown will never come. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget said the Republican tax framework released on Wednesday could add $2.2 trillion in deficit spending by handing out tax cuts “like Halloween candy.”
Republicans’ favorite example from history is Ronald Reagan’s 1986 tax cut. On Wednesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan cited those cuts, claiming that they had given Americans a tax system they to be proud of. But the most comprehensive analysis of the Reagan cuts suggests they didn’t lead to economic growth. The next year, the Dow Jones dropped by 22 percent in one day, the largest crash in US history. |

Mnuchin has held fast in defending the administration’s use of optimistic growth projections when calculating tax reform’s impact. When CNBC asked him whether the administration’s plan would be revenue neutral, Munchin offered a telling response, hinting at the the friendly math they would rely on: “It depends on how you score it…under our models, we are absolutely committed to revenue neutrality.”

Every single suffering person is considered an american citizen and serve in the United States Military. Seems we want to disown these people PS....Amazing, how people close their heart and actually ask a question like was asked, yet accept our millionaire President increasing his coffers each day and fighting against ethics. We subsidize the kids on hunting trips, etc and never question it. Yet, we ask such a question about PR who has lost lives in our defense. They are a poor country, but when compared to the Latin American countries in the area are one of the bright spots. WE support so many dictarships in the area and yet question a committment to saving lives in a haven for manufacturing and again, serving in our military. |

Go ahead and listen to that idiot Schumer. Nope, he has no ax to grind at all. Wow, some folks are just plain stupid.
Quit worrying about tax breaks for other people. If you need the rich to sustain you, then you are admitting that the rich are better than you. The point to giving tax breaks is to stimulate the economy. History says it did for Reagan and Kennedy. Tax revenues doubled, even though spending tripled. Remember, it was your Pelosi that said welfare and food stamps was good for the economy. If you can believe that dodo head. Taxing the rich at a higher rate than the rest of the country is discrimination. Something that is supposed to be unlawful in this country. The only tax that is fair is a flat tax for all folks OR a federal sales tax. Taxing one group and not taxing another is a form of discrimination. Many wealthy under the newly proposed tax would pay more due to the doing away of many tax loopholes and deductions. Apparently, that is not enough for the left. They want the rich to be punished for their success. |
