"New"???; I've informed all of you readers long ago, and to much derision. CBS News reporter Marcia Kramer is releasing a story in which everything I said about this months ago is vindicated.
Congressman Peter King says “It’s a wake-up call to some of the American people who don’t realize what a deadly, ongoing threat this is and how evil and diabolical al Qaeda is.” An ABC News reports indicates that this new Al Qaeda initiative is in response to the scanners in use, as they would not detect implanted bombs. I just thought that of my fellow TOTV'ers who are lulled into a sense of security while giving up your personal privacy and your 4th Amendment rights so willingly, might want to consider the new paradigm. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/07/...in-terrorists/ http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=14007673 http://www.propublica.org/article/ts...implant-bomber |

Either we have really good intel or they are waiting for a very special occasion and a bunch will go at the same time. I do believe that there are many sleeper cells just waiting for the command to act.

I just guessing it's going to happen unless our security is brought up to Israeli security standards and doesn't remain exclusively reliant on passive machinery that they use to invasively view our bodies while subjecting us to the scanning radiation, coupled with strangers who put their hands on our and our children's bodies. All of which is so much security theater.

The security at airports is a joke. What keeps one from dragging a bag of explosives into the waiting area before entering the gate area and security and touching it off. I am afrid its going to happen on of these days. That is the reson that I will not fly anymore.
If the flying public would boycott the airlines for just a week, things would change and security would gets lots better real fast. Remember money talks and BS walks. So far all I have seen from our government is BS. |

As much as it pains me to agree with Richie, he is partially correct for once.
Both the "Shoe Bomber" and the "Underwear Bomber" were coming to the US from airports overseas. Therefore, the US security efforts did not catch them since they were screened by foreign airports. However, I believe both had bought tickets with cash on the day they were flying. That should be red-flagged for the extra security strip searches. It really makes no sense to pat down grandmas and children. I totally agree with the profiling at airports. If an Arab-looking young man buys a ticket for cash on the day of the flight - he deserves extra hard screening. This is a form of racism but that is how it is now. Some aspects that deserve the extra degree of screening might be same day purchase of a ticket with cash; flying without any baggage; method of dress (either ethnic or very smelly old clothes); or passengers in the lounge telling an employee someone makes them uncomfortable for some reason. Let the Homeland Security Dept start using common sense more and stop with all the political correctness. I still do agree with the metal detectors at airports and the x-ray of the carry-on luggage. Just use common sense in the further screenings!! |

Moscow and Glasgow have show that the airport *terminal* is the new terrorist target. As I've said before, I want the terrorists afraid to go near the airport. I want trained killers protecting us (like when the National Guard was manning the airports post 9/11 before the TSA was created) and NOT the (for the most part) sleepy drones that the TSA has given us.

![]() Quote:
You will be confronted and asked questions if suspicions are aroused, and if you're still unusual the red flag is up and you've got explaining to do. The vast majority of passengers acting as usual passengers and doing the normal passenger things sometimes wouldn't even realize they were under scrutiny all the while. There is more to our TSA than the theater of security they provide. It's also about conditioning the public to accept these intrusions on our freedoms as an acceptable price to pay to feel safe. It's the beginning of the police state and it's encroaching into other areas of our life. |

Does the recent notification of surgically implanted bombs giving new meaning to the "you the bomb" lamented by cool dudes around the country. If so they may want to refrain from doing so and especially sealing it with a high five, especially at airports
