Default Trump supporting illegals staying in USA

In Texas, Trump taped a two part interview with his major media supporter, Hannity. The first part has aired and part two is soon. In part two, unless they edit it out is where a candidate who built his entire appeal to the GOP by vilifying undocumented immigrants and promising to round them up and kick them out does a complete 180 degree and now sounds just like Obama.

Quote:
In the second half of the taping (slated to air Wednesday night) Trump made his big pitch to the live audience that went something like this: "What about the incredible people without criminal records who have been here for about 20 years? Don't you think they and their families should be able to stay? Shouldn't we be able to work this out?"
Must be polling poorly in the Hispanic community. How come Trump didn't make that suggestion during the GOP primary?

That is one way to look at it.
The other, which does not serve the posters intention is, he is recognizing like any and all statitical groups there are many not be be affected by prior commentary.

Just a recognition of reality.

Much better than Clinton's only interest in the same minority groups is their vote.....not one thing more.

He has not spoken yet, but copies of his prepared remarks for an event tonight appear to indicate he will support what Obama has already been doing and what Bush and Rubio proposed.

Now he won't say that, but when you parse the words that appears where he is going.

He will do way more to enforce our immigration laws
than Obama has for over the last 7 years.

You are aware how many illegals that Obama has sent home, right ?

Trump, again according to experts from his remarks, will actually do more FOR illegal immigrants. He says he will "work with them", but his stated plan lines up with Obama who has been either the strictest on immigration or one of the strictest.

If Trump’s New Immigration Plan Sounds Familiar, That’s Because Obama Is Already Enforcing It – ThinkProgress

Betting his followers don't care. I mean, how can any sane person support a person like Trump ?

They are simply anti Clinton people. Again, nobody who cares or knows anything could possibly support whatever he stands for today. He is a PLATITUDE yelled, an insulting immature, egoist who lies pathologically.

I can see the anti Clinton, though. But Trump supporters don't give a rats @$$ about any issues except to beat Clinton.

Actually Trumps new position is almost exactly what Jeb Bush proposed in the debate and Trump mocked him for it.

Might have been the same night he mocked Mrs Bush and both ex Presidents...PERSONALLY, not based on issue, but he did mock this position when Bush proposed it.

The liberals try to hide the fact that Obama uses a different definition of deportation.

Using existing law trump will deport many many more. No 180, just being politically correct.

Trump has often tripped over his own tongue while speaking about sensitive topics like abortion and religion, seemingly unaware or uncaring about the language used in such debates.

In an interview airing Wednesday night, Trump declared to Fox News' Sean Hannity that there would be "no amnesty" for undocumented immigrants. But when pushed by Hannity if he would amend his previous pledge to remove all illegal immigrants from the U.S. to include an exception for those who have not committed other crimes, Trump got wobbly.

"No citizenship,” Trump responded. “Let me go a step further — they'll pay back-taxes, they have to pay taxes, there's no amnesty, as such, there's no amnesty, but we work with them.”

Did they break any laws? FOX is a two edged sword. I have heard many of the commentators on FOX disparage Trump, and lesser of them support him.

Trump has consistently had an uphill battle in this campaign. He beat out 16 professional politicians for the nomination. And that is with very little establishment support. He is smart in that he has used the media to get attention for his views on issues. Views consistent with the majority of Americans. I have no doubt that he can produce on his ideas, because he is not one for failing. He uses almost every hour of the day wisely, resting only minimally.
