Default Kind of an anti-Coulter book. At least in philosophy.

"The unholy alliance of the Political Right and Religious Right threatens to destroy the America we love. It also threatens to generate a popular aversion to God and religion by identifying religious values with a pro-war, pro-business, pro-rich, anti-science, and anti-environmental stance. In the past few decades, the Republicans have achieved political dominance by forging a union with a Religious Right that provided a sanctimonious veneer to policies that help the rich get richer while ignoring the needs of the middle class and the poor, dismantling environmental and civil liberties protections, and seeking global domination." quote from above linked article about a 2006 book by Rabbi Michael Lerner called The Left Hand of God: Taking Back Our Country from the Religious Right.

Rabbi Michael Lerner Interview

One good thing about Mitt Romney is that he does not look like someone who is from the Religious Right wing. Kind of hard for a Mormon to take that kind of stance of a hardliner for religion outside of the internal politics of the Mormon Church. Or how about this:

SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein.

As MILCON leader, Feinstein relished the details of military construction, even micromanaging one project at the level of its sewer design. She regularly took junkets to military bases around the world to inspect construction projects, some of which were contracted to her husband's companies, Perini Corp. and URS Corp......

Do not believe that politicians must live like the people they are trying to help to have some credibility. Not sure how anyone backing Mitt Romney could make this kind of argument.
