Someone explain this. Both candidates are proposing to give legal status to illegals that are or have served in our military. Now wait a minute, they are illegal and serve in our military and then will probably get VA benefits but are illegal. I don't understand this. Shouldn't some action have been brought against them when they enlisted if they were illegal .YES or NO

How did they get in?My son has friends that have been her since kids and are illegal they couldn't get in any branch because they were illegal.

of course something should be done. At a minimum since they have already served or are serving, do what it takes to make them LEGAL.

We are supposed to be a country obeying the rule of law.....not a political rule of convenience.

When my Mother's Father came here from Norway in early 1900's he joined the U.S. Navy and was given automatic US Citizenship. When my father's youngest brother was a legal alien from Germany here in the 50's he was drafted into the US Air Force, no citizenship given.

Illegal aliens are enlisting in the military and may be granted citizenship.

Let's go back a step. First, why is it that the U.S. Department of Defense finds its necessary to recruit illegal aliens? Secondly, is it in the best interests of the United States to recruit illegal aliens? Thirdly, what per centage of recruiting represents illegal aliens? Fourth, what effect does this per centage of illegal recruiting have on our military's effectiveness?
Fifth, what should be done?

Does this happen any where else. We are to easy in this country.

I will be killed if I say why the US Military did this....so I won't.
