One of the major long term goals of the far Left Wing which controls the once moderate Democrat Party has been to " dumb down " the general electorate .

They have after 50 years of effort finally achieved this major tactic of their long term strategy of Socialistic Globalism operated by a "One World Government" .

Along the way over the decades they have also moved the mass media from Left Leaning to Far Left . They control the media in all forms with few exceptions .

However along there has been a few major unintended consequences . One is the soon to be total collapse of the once powerful traditional media in particular daily newspapers .

Millennials and Gen Xers were never taught to read anything with a critical eye and they were never taught to read daily papers . And as a result they do not spend their money on traditional papers and they do not watch the major network news broadcasts .

Thus during the next 4 years we will see the end of traditional far Left major publications such as the LA Times , The New York Times and others . The evening world news broadcasts of CBS , NBC and ABC will also be fighting to remain relevant do to a lack of viewership .

The pendulum swings both to the far left and the far right and never remains in fixed spot as long as it has energy .

If all the BS and allegations written about both candidates is near true, and all the hoped for prosecution bear fruit, I would imagine sales of newsprint will probably increase over the next four years.

Sadly no . More Americans seem to care about Dancing With The Stars and whatever idiotic so called reality tv series is currently the most popular .

All in our grandparents were much more educated on domestic and world events and also better read than our children and grandchildren .

And the achievement recognition was not watered down so the un accomplished would feel good.

It was definitely a better time and quality of America.

I understand that Obie has been auditioning for Dancing with the Has-beens, I mean "stars" He just can't survive without being in the spotlight.

Good point ! Obie will be fighting for media attention along with Chuck Schumer and the Queen will not be amused .
