Default Multiple Political Ads - Change your view??

This is only July, and THREE more months of this stuff.....Do they really think the ads are going to change anyone's opinion in this polarized society! Wish those millions of dollars were helping REALLY needy families during this recession!...I wish there was a station you could view, that gives it the Pinocchio test on all ads!

With all the lying being done about Romney like in the "Women's ad", where it lies about Romney's abortion position; and the Bane Ads where they lie about Romney's position in the company at the times outsourcing was done, I don't believe you really want that "Pinocchio test"; do you?

Mitt Romney supports the personhood amendment which would outlaw all abortions and most birth control pills. This same amendment was too far right for Mississippi voters, who voted it down, and the Oklahoma legislature, who likewise voted it down. Romney also supports a constitutional amendment which would ban abortions.

As far as when Romney left Bane Capital, that is still up for debate as he has not clarified and documents are ambiguous.

There could be many ads by the Obama administration and his minions but it will not change my vote. After careful analysis of his performance and his seemingly the progressive philosophical viewpoints and his total disregard for the Constitution and any number of things that I don't like about him, I will not vote for Barack Obama I will vote for Mitt Romney. That's it. That's all.

Save the Republic. Vote for Mitt Romney.

I'm saying if Mitt Romney gets elected and enacts the personhood amendment that he advocates, that will outlaw all abortions and most birth control methods. Romney also says he will defund Planned Parenthood. His campaign could not answer the question whether Romney supports The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. Republicans have voted against The Violence Against Women Act and The Paycheck Fairness Act. Romney also would repeal the Affordable Care Act which would allow women to be charged twice as much as a man for health care.

Why would any woman vote for Mitt Romney in 2012? How do his promises of tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires while raising taxes on every one else help the average working woman?

still waiting for issues of substance to come up.

Thank GOD for DVR technology and not having to listen to any of the political slop being dispensed.

I personally think the only purpose the ads serve is to give the party faithful something to talk about. For any with any intelligence and thinking ability what comes from the television set is not what will help people decide to do on election day. The ads are useless except for media revenue generation.

aren't you the poster who reminded me that congress passes legislation? so congress would have to pass legislation before romney could sign anything that might be enacted into law?

what are the odds of that happening?

one only has to watch the snippets of material on late night television and cable news stations to see the 'man-on-the-street' interviews re the current political scene or the history of the united states and it is enough to scare the begeesus out of me if any of those who are interviewed go to the polls to vote! seems to be a significant degree of a lack of intelligence and thinking ability in those clips - not to mention a total lack of knowledge - yet they will be allowed to vote!

Would you suggest a minimum IQ, or another intelligence test, or current events exam to qualify to vote?

I will research to verify and if this is true about Romney, Obama has my vote.

In answer to my own post; I would have people sit in a voting booth and before they vote they would have to answer a single question. Has your vote been in any way influenced positively or negatively by a television, print, or radio advertisement? An answer in the affirmative would activate an ejection seat and the hopeful voter would be catapulted from the polling site.

If Mitt Romney gets elected, that means there will be a wave of republicans elected from coast to coast, probably holding the house and taking the senate. Most of those tea party types are more stringent than Romney and will be even more in favor of restricting women's rights. Just look at what has been happening at the state level in the past two years...1100 laws proposed in 2011 and well on the way to surpassing that number this year. Remember all the state-madated vaginal-probe laws passed by republican legislatures?
