It's good to see when justice is actually served.

While those who were suckered will only get about 90% of their money back, just to see Chump held accountable...is I'm sure worth the other 10% to them.

Settlement of a lawsuit is just that and only that. the reason for settlement could be for a variety of reasons. Many plaintiff attorney's take cases based only on the belief that they can cause the defendants to spend so much on defense that they find it economical to settle instead.

You view this as a win against Trump who suckered in people. so lt me ask suppose a resident spends several hundred dollars getting lessons from a pro, having that pro custom fit the students clubs and recommends to him to use only Pro v 1. the golf student fails because he has taken quality lessons and now owns quality equipment but oops he has absolutely no golf brains . what is the pro's obligation?

While your pathetic analogy and attempt to make more excuses for a wretched individual is like comparing apples to toilet seats, if the pro PROMISED you that you would make the tour when they were done teaching and that they were a successful tour pro themselves (and weren't)...THEN we would have a good comparison.

Donald Trump under oath: Trump University's promises crumble - May. 27, 2016
Quote:

"We're going to have professors and adjunct professors that are absolutely terrific people, terrific brains, successful. We are going to have the best of the best... and these are people that are handpicked by me."

But a CNN investigation finds that Trump and others involved in the school admitted under oath that some promises made to students just didn't happen.

In Trump's own deposition this past December, Trump failed to recognize the name of a single presenter or teacher at his real estate seminars. He also confirmed he had nothing to do with the selection process of instructors who taught at the school's events or mentors for the school's "Gold Elite" programs.

A review of Trump University presenters and so-called real estate experts found many with questionable credentials and inflated resumes. Court documents show background-checks conducted during the hiring process could not determine whether some instructors even graduated high school.
Not even a good try...by your own low standards.

Trump University targeted people who wanted to become extremely rich and savvy real estate investors, yet they somehow needed to be taught how.
It didn't target little old ladies who needed to learn how to manage their mortgage money, it targeted people who wanted to buy distressed properties from people having difficulties, and resell them a week later at twice the price.
I postulate that any money scammed out of these jerks was money well earned.

Why on earth would you take the time to rise to his defense on this issue ?

Astounding..

This is why anything you say about not being totally in love with this person is bunk. You know.....I assume you read about it, that there were various states involved and dispositions he didn't want public.

You cannot be this naive.

AND this is interesting. This kind of thing happened to Clinton, ie. Being sued while in office. It was eventually ruled that the President could be sued in cases like this. The case involved with Clinton was Paula Jones.

NOTE IN RED, one of the outcomes of that case once it got to court

[B]"President Trump plans to argue that as president he is immune from all civil litigation filed in state court until he leaves office, a lawyer for the president wrote in a legal filing in New York this week in a case related to allegations that he sexually harassed a former contestant on the reality show “The Apprentice.”

Summer Zervos is suing Trump in New York, arguing that Trump defamed her when he denied her allegations during the presidential campaign, calling her and other women who made
similar claims “liars.” He also called her a “phony” and labeled her allegation a “hoax.”

Zervos, who appeared on the television show in 2006, alleges that Trump groped and aggressively kissed her against her will during a 2007 encounter at a Los Angeles hotel, after Zervos sought a job with the Trump Organization. Trump has denied Zervos's allegations and said her story was a “total fabrication.”

"The Jones case helps illustrate the potential perils of civil litigation for the president. After losing at the Supreme Court, Clinton ultimately settled the Jones case without admitting fault. Before he did, however, he was required to sit for a deposition in the matter, where he was accused of lying about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, which led to his impeachment."

They truly are blind, or they wouldn't have voted for him in the first place. He showed his true colors when he talked about grabbing women's you know what, mocking a disabled person, and so on. Most of us recognize that he is a lowlife, but those that voted for him are probably embarrassed and certainly have blinders on. There clearly is something going on with all the Russia connections and when that comes out they will be hard-pressed to keep on defending him.

OR MAYBE THIS......

"LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A federal judge has rejected President Donald Trump's free speech defense against a lawsuit accusing him of inciting violence against protesters at a campaign rally.

Trump's lawyers sought to dismiss the lawsuit by three protesters who say they were roughed up by his supporters at a March 2016 rally in Louisville. Trump's lawyers contend that when the candidate said "Get 'em out of here," he didn't intend for his supporters to use force.

Two women and a man say they were shoved and punched by audience members as Trump directed them from the podium. Much of it was captured on video and widely broadcast during the campaign, showing Trump pointing at the protesters and repeating "get them out."

Judge David J. Hale in Louisville ruled Friday that the suit against Trump, his campaign and three of his supporters can proceed.

Hale found ample facts supporting allegations that the protesters' injuries were a "direct and proximate result" of Trump's actions."
