The challenge, and I’m not picking on reporters, about writing stories about classified information is that people talking about it often don’t really know what’s going on. And those of us who actually know what’s going on are not talking about it. And we don’t call the press to say, ‘hey, you got that thing wrong about this sensitive topic.’ We just have to leave it there.

When asked later by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton if it*would be fair to characterize the Times story "as almost entirely wrong,"*Comey replied, "Yes."

Oh no it is not.

You have to look at it in totality to see how damning the whole picture actually is. There’s a good reason why Sen. John McCain recently said this scandal is reaching “Watergate size and scale.” There are three parts of this puzzle: collusion, quid pro quo, and cover-up.

Very little of the Comey testimony touched on collusion, because he regards it as too sensitive to discuss in open session — itself a damning fact. If this were “fake news,” as Trump alleges, there would be no classified information to protect.

LOL You do realize you are citing and article by Max Boot, a NeoCon warmongerer and staunch Never Trumper who hasn't got anything right since 911. In his article Max quotes whack jobs like McCain etc but just couldn't bring himself to quote Comey, the guy in charge of the investigation into Trump campaign collusion with Russians, who testified that the NYT article alleging such collusion was completely wrong.

You are getting played like a chump.

This is about the silliest debate ever.

We have a congressional investigation going on...why not wait until it is over.

The cherry picking of this testimony has been lurid.

If trump has tapes let congress have them. If he does not , admit he was lying and let it go.

Look, you can quote any public story, or and public testimony, especially FOUR months old, and you can try to put words where you want...neither YOU nor I have any idea where this investigation ends up when complete and making stupid claims is just plain...well, stupid.

Trump is not proven guilty, nor proven innocent of anything and the same goes for his campaign and all the members of that campaign. So, why do you idiots keep talking like you have all this information.....you know very little and play a little game to amuse yourselves.

Most of you can't even put a sentence together properly, but profess all this wisdom to see behind the scenes. Don't you ever get embarrassed.

Comey's testimony is only a few days old. It is the most current under oath details we have. This is the guy that was in charge of the freakin investigation. He stated that the NYT article about Trump campaign collusion with Russians was false. If you have anything more current besides speculation in the media please post it.

INVESTIGATION STILL GOING ON

This entire thing brings to mind Republican Senator Lindsay Graham who said this about Donald Trump.....

Comey is the best witness FOR Trump. Comey may be mad at Trump for the firing (well deserved) but he was Trump's best witness and added a cherry on top by throwing a stone or two at Hillary and Lynch, especially lynch. Comey the weasel must be one of the stupidest lawyers in history. Like they say, if a lawyer can't do his job well enough to make a living, he becomes a politician.
