Once upon a time there was a liberal and a conservative. The conservative grew up saying the ‘pledge of allegiance’ and dedicated himself to a country that was a Republic, under God, and indivisible. The liberal grew up pledging himself to the Communist Manifesto which believed in an elite class ruling over all the people under the pretense of knowing what’s best for the people. The conservative worked hard all his life and was thus able to save up enough money for those things he needed, and even many things he wanted. The liberal thought it was everyone else’s job to take care of him and sat around playing video games, fantasy card games, and watching shows like Beavis and Butthead every chance he could get. Work was foreign to the liberal. The conservative man met a girl in college, loved her deeply, and proposed marriage. His sweetheart got pregnant on their honeymoon which wasn’t what they were expecting and so they raised and loved their baby with all the love two wonderful parents could give. The Liberal knocked up a few different girls in high school and had to drop out. He coaxed several of these girls he slept with to get abortions, as this would rid him of any responsibility of raising a child, or paying for his actions. One girl in particular though, decided to keep the baby. The liberal father would not take care of the baby, and this liberal girl that had his baby knew that the government would give her more money than he ever would want or be able to. It did not take long for the liberal girl to realize having babies was a great way to earn a living and so she kept breeding and had 8 kids, each receiving a nice check for. She pawned the kids off on grandmother while she lived the high life driving a nice Cadillac she put in her aunt’s name, while living in government housing. The conservative family raised their child with family values and a commitment to honesty, integrity, character, and work ethic. Their child grew up to be successful and contribute to society. They were a benefit to those around them. The liberal child grew up to be reliant on the government and bitter, hated work, and thought everyone owed them something just like their parents. They were raised in immorality, and saw no problem in taking from others what they didn’t work for. Instead of a simple “thank you” from the liberal for the conservative families money taking care of them through ‘taxes’, the conservative family would be later demonized by the liberal’s, for their hard work and dedication. It would soon become a sin to be successful, and a noble thing to be lazy, dependent, irresponsible, living for the here and now, and uneducated. This is the story of the conservative and liberal.

This is a brilliant post ... brilliant because it's based on truths most of us have observed over our (many) years, and because of the way in which you wove the tale. Nicely done :)

Too bad there are those that will disagree---some vehemently. Then they will start hurling personal attacks, since they can't defend with facts. So be it---bring it!!!! The first such respondent was unhappy that I vote. Ok, that's fair, because I'm unhappy dead people vote and some vote 7 times---and we all know who they vote for. Oh, no, my bad! the liberals have already informed us that there is no election fraud. They must be right, because they are better than we are:1rotfl:

Anybody with a brain knows that President Obama is not a Muslim and is an American. Is this the same mentality you are talking about?

It seems there are some Republicans with no brains at all.

No, you still don't quite get it ...

If you look at Obama's ACTIONS, it not difficult to understand why it can reasonably be argued his SYMPATHIES are with Islam. That' pretty obvious actually. It take willful disbelief to not come to that conclusion. Would you like for me to supply the abundant instances and examples ....? Come to think of it, do your own homework.

The whole birther issue is a diversion actually, and I would note that you heroine Hillary Clinton is the one who first raised it as an issue in 2007 ... check it out.

Does anyone know for sure what is being protested ?

Her support for Israel ? Her anger at the conservative candidates ? What ?

They are essentially protesting their faux outrage at a person who's obviously a much better debater than any liberal who has ever gone up against her.

Thus, per their religion (ie secular liberalism) the only thing left to do is beat drums, wave protest signs and make a lot of noise ... all as a substitute for debate.

ALERT----ALERT---ALERT
This is a JOKE. This website, in collaboration with the FCC and other authorities have devised this system to keep you apprised in the event of an INSULT. If this had been an actual INSULT, you would be apprised of how and when to respond. This is only a JOKE:

*HOW TO BECOME A LIBERAL*

1. You must believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
2. You must believe the same teacher who cannot teach 4th graders to read is somehow qualified to teach them about sex.
3. You must believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of Chinese Communists.
4. You must believe there was no art before Federal funding.
5. You must believe global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected by SUVs.
6. You must believe gender roles are artificial, but homosexuality is natural.
7. You must be against capital punis#$%$ent, but in favor of abortion on demand.
8. You must believe business creates oppression and the government creates prosperity.
9. You must believe self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
10. You must believe the military, not politicians, start wars where military personnel, not politicians, die.
11. You must believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution
12. You must believe taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
13. You must believe standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.
14. You must believe Hillary Clinton and Elena Kagan are ladies.
15. You must believe the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
16. You must believe homosexual parades are Constitutionally protected, but manger displays at Christmas are illegal.
17. You must believe that anyone who dislikes "ANYTHING" about Obama is a racist.
18. You must believe that anyone who wants to pay less tax and take back the extreme weakening in Washin#$%$on is an idiot.
19. You must believe that everything that is going wrong now is Bush's fault.
20. YOU MUST LOVE THE CHANGE YOU VOTED FOR!

Another brilliant post. I like it.

Compared to what liberals actually have to SAY or ARGUE, if you follow today's debate, the liberals are getting clubbed like little baby seals. Tough to watch, but entertaining :)

"And the word is..." Right! Probably from the same person that started this thread. "And the word is....." I doubt there are enough liberals in all of the Villages to fill up the B&N parking lot, and I sincerely doubt they all turned out for such a lame idea, based on total ignorance of the facts. At least the liberals that did(if they did turn up) turn up, actually are moving in a positive direction. They got off there @ss and were motivated to do something besides having someone else do it for them.

Of course "the word is" that someone got paid to start the protest. And "the word is" that the money came from a city up North.

Guest 09-26-2015 03:11 PM

I saw a photo of the protest posted on another "site" on the Internet. They did get enough to come out to fill the sidewalk and block the entrance of the book store. It is a shame that they are ignorant of the facts. Very embarrassing for them. Especially when their more knowledgeable neighbors see their photo in the paper.

Guest 09-26-2015 03:15 PM

Interesting

Liberals seem to be in total support of this protest.

Protesters say it is not political but about as they are quoted "racial bigotry"

Protesters say they were offended by what they consider an anti Semitic tweets.

Which is it please ?

There are so many cases of liberal bigotry against religion in congress as well as statements.

Non political...wondering if all registration cards were shown, how many have a D on them.

Anyone has a right to protest anything, but be clear, non hypocritical.

Guest 09-26-2015 03:20 PM

Funny how liberals are suddenly defending religion. Many of the liberal posters I have debated call the Bible and the belief in God to be Myth. Have they suddenly gotten religion? Hallelujah! There's hope for the liberals after all.

Given the comments of bubblehead Debbie what's her name, and today's credulous liberal protestors, maybe they should organize and protest Marco Rubio when he speaks at the Eisenhower Center Monday 28 September at 3:45?? All tickets have been spoken for so it will be a full house.

At the risk of getting labeled arrogant and condescending, in this case I have to say A LOT. This quote comes from the 26th episode of the first season of Star trek (TOS) , "Errand of Mercy". Spock to Kirk---"I would say that the Organians are as far above us on the evolutionary scale as we are above the amoeba". You can substitute "conservatives" for "Organians" and "liberals" for "us" and the statement remains true

Suspicious.

I don't know you personally, but from what I am hearing from you and others on here, you are ignorant of the facts. You are disparaging someone that you apparently know nothing about, most likely based entirely on what someone told you. I feel sorry for you and our country if that is how you determine you vote also. To be fair, you really should examine this person (Coulter) a bit closer. Don't take my word for it, but be wary of friends that are politically motivated when they slur her with their ignorant blathers. I am not endorsing Ann Coulter, but in my opinion there is a great misjustice being reaped upon her by a political agenda. Some of you protesters were probably duped into attending under the guise of being bigoted. Other than some harsh, sometimes abrasive language that she broadcasts, I have seen no indication of bigotry toward Jews or Catholics. Quite the contrary.

If you are being truthful in your comment, you will probably find upon further examination, that you may owe that lady an apology. But, that is between you and your God or conscience.

But, I am probably wrong about you. After reading about your expertise at the rules of protesting, I doubt your sincerity toward the protest on moral grounds. It appears that you revealed that your protest was entirely politically motivated. "Evil women" ???? I fear you have some serious issues, that may need addressing by someone of professional nature.

I'm wondering how many of these protesters were at the White House protesting when Obama insulted Netanyahu by walking out on him to go upstairs to dinner. I wonder if any of them protested when Congress asked him to speak, and Obama once again was insulting. Or, were they protesting the GOP instead?

I wonder if the so-called Catholic protester, protested when Obamacare has forced Catholic nuns to provide contraceptives with their health care?

I'd say that these political hypocrites are using some implied bigotry to further their agenda, so they can push their radical views on unsuspecting gullible victims. They never come right out with their agenda, but keep it hidden. They are like roaches that are only active under cover of darkness.

Where's your protesting when it comes to aborted babies being slaughtered for experimentation and the body parts sold for profit? Or, were you protesting with your silence.

You protesters prove that liberal is just an oxymoron. You liberals are a farce, with a false label.

Spot on accurate.

Yes, liberalism is a happy talk emotional type of politics on the surface but it essentially masks unhappiness, envy and rage ... which is why they always have to be covert about it in the manner you suggest. They depend on the gullible and credulous and, increasingly the desperate, which is why they want to import gazillions of illegal aliens.

Once one studies it even a bit, the strategy and underlying drivers of liberalism (an oxymoron indeed) becomes obvious.
