President Obama won two back to back electoral landslides with over 51% of the vote both times.

Only six other presidents, in the history of this country, have done that...not Clinton, not Reagan. You have to go all the way back to Eisenhower to find the last time this happened.

51% is ONLY one percent away from either man winning.

Yes it only takes one vote more to win.....but 51% is no landslide!

If you read my post again, you will see that I said electoral landslide. That final tally for 2012 was 332 to 206. President Obama, according to this Washington Post count, actually won 50.6% of the popular vote in 2012, compared to 53% in 2008.

On the electoral vote count that is a landslide.

I talked to a neighbor who was a sniper in Iraq. He said that for the most part Iraqi's want us to fight their fight. Remember Saddam had the conflict among Shiites and Sunnis under control.
I actually haven't seen this level of political fervor since the "McCarthy Era" when many were labelled "Communists". No internet and three TV channels tempered some of that.
Whatever happened to the "Peace and Love" generation of the 60's?
Perhaps they've grown old and angry.

My guess is that a lot of the naysayers here are not of the peace and love generation. You'll see them come into play more and more as the 1946 - 1964 baby boomers become a larger and larget presence.
