THE RIOTER WHO CLIMBED ON THE LEE STATUE IN DURHAM AND PUT THE STRAP IN PLACE TO PULL IT DOWN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FELONIES.

The Sheriff of Durham was strongly criticized, particularly in law enforcement circles, for having his officers stand by and watch the commission of these felonies, and others. His position was that if his officers had moved in to prevent the damage then people would be injured.

Rank and file police officers find it disturbing that officers were directed to stand by and observe felonies in progress, and take no action to make arrests.

Takiya Thompson, the rioter who attached the strap to the statue, identified herself as a member of the Worker's World Party, a communist party in the United States, founded in 1959 by a group led by Sam Marcy of the Socialist Workers Party.

One would hope that other rioters will also be identified and charged.

"PHOENIX (AP) — President Donald Trump plans to rally supporters in Phoenix next week, and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton is not happy about it.

Trump's campaign announced the event Wednesday — a day after the president blamed "both sides" for weekend violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, between white supremacists and counter-demonstrators.

The Aug. 22 rally will take place at the Phoenix Convention Center, the campaign said.

"I am disappointed that President Trump has chosen to hold a campaign rally as our nation is still healing from the tragic events in Charlottesville," Stanton said in a statement Wednesday afternoon. "It is my hope that more sound judgment prevails and that he delays his visit."

The president has been holding campaign-style events in Trump-friendly areas since he took office. Next week's rally will be his first in the West.

Trump told Fox News in an interview this week that he may pardon former metro Phoenix Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who recently was convicted in federal court for disobeying a judge's order to stop his traffic patrols that targeted immigrants. A federal judge ruled in 2013 that Arpaio's officers had racially profiled Latinos.

Arpaio, 85, is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 5 and faces up to six months in jail. Attorneys who have followed the case doubt someone his age would be incarcerated, however.

Critics say a pardon would amount to an endorsement of racism.

"If President Trump is coming to Phoenix to announce a pardon for former Sheriff Joe Arpaio, then it will be clear that his true intent is to enflame emotions and further divide our nation," Stanton said."

Wow an arrest! Hundreds on both side should of been arrested, charged, and if found guilty spend YEARS in prison.

No Sandy...there are LOTS of choices...and the ONLY ones that will work have a white majority.

Look around...the entire planet...every country...white people make the best places. Look at the top places in the world...all white...with a sprinkling of Asians living as westerners.

Blacks are ALWAYS...in EVERY instance...at the very bottom. WHY would you want MORE of them? WHY would you insanely put them in charge of anything? They don't have any real success in anything. Besides sports and entertainment...what can they do? Destroy a school? Destroy a neighborhood? A city? A country?

What do they make better...where have they made better?
