Sooo, potus in charge of OUR budget, has paid zip zero taxes for 19 years.
Increasing defense budget by 10%, reduce other programs by 10%, ok with that!
Building 30 billion dollar wall, waste of time and money Proposed 1 trillion spent on infrastructure, ok with that. Decrease taxes for the very rich (unless they also, are in the, Don't pay taxes like potus) Looks like deficit might be on the rise. |

OK for the sake of argument let's assume your title of the thread is true.
So what. If the tax laws allow for ANY individual to use or take advantage of the tax laws to reduce (or eliminate the tax).....all legal.....what is the proble? Don't we all pursue any legal opportunities to lessen (or eliminate) the tax burden? Of course we ALL do. Just google who does not pay taxes and why and be prepared to get educated/surprised. |

You don't think Mr T will raise the deficit? He won't continue to borrow? They borrow over a $trillion every year...what makes you think he'll cut 25% of the "budget"? What $trillion in spending will he cut? He won't...he'll add...because he's the new boss...same as the old boss. You don't believe that half of blacks don't pay income taxes? do white people pay the most in taxes? - Google Search "Overall, out of the 58 million taxable households that pay no income taxes some 56 percent of African American households pay no income taxes" |

Welfare...it costs about a $trillion a year. What does it get us? It's getting us a minority majority. And white people going from 90% of the population to 49%. It's dropped us from #1 to #25. It's destroyed schools...destroyed neighborhoods. It IS destroying the country. |

Famous Tax Quotes are both from Judge Learned Hand:
#4 Any one may so arrange his affairs that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which will best pay the Treasury; there is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes. Gregory v. Helvering, 69 F.2d 809, 810 (2d Cir. 1934) #5 Over and over again courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging one’s affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everybody does so, rich or poor; and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands: taxes are enforced exactions, not voluntary contributions. To demand more in the name of morals is mere cant. Commissioner v. Newman, 159 F.2d 848, 851 (2d Cir. 1947) – dissenting opinion |

1. The IRS has and continues to audit his tax returns. if something were amiss, given the leaks coming out of Washington CNN would have devoted an entire night of tv viewing about trump's tax problems. 2. Congress has control of the purse strings 3. Can we begin to discuss other things beside Trump, like maybe policy decisions being discussed? Geezzz its get tiresome Personal Best Regards: |

Perhaps it is because of your disdain for for me personally, but saw no comments from you. Also had a few on Syria, sans RUBICON What particular issue would you like to discuss ? I also tried awhile back to begin a discussion on spending, still without you. You start one on wholesomeness but, from reading your admonishment, you wanted no discussion, simply trying to teach us. What is the issue you want to talk about ? |

First of all, you have no way of knowing whether President Trump paid any taxes. He supposedly has no paid any personal income taxes by using perfectly legal tax deductions and write offs. If that's the case then it makes him smart and nothing else. Did anyone on this forum pay any more in federal taxes than was necessary?
Secondly, the news media is only talking about personal income tax. Because President Trump owns many business and corporations he pays several different types of taxes. The fact that he employs tens of thousands of people he pays payroll taxes and matching SSI and unemployment taxes. But the fact that he is responsible for the employment of tens of thousands of people means that he is indirectly responsible for the taxes that those people pay. He is also responsible for all of the property taxes, sales taxes and other taxes generated by his over 500 businesses. Claiming that he doesn't pay any taxes is absurd. Trying to link the fact that he "may not" have paid federal income tax at some point to our federal budget is ridiculous. They have nothing to do with one another. But this won't matter to those who hate simply for the joy of hating. You'll find some other stupid thing to make up but out president. |

To demand more in the name of morals is mere cant. Commissioner v. Newman, 159 F.2d 848, 851 (2d Cir. 1947) – dissenting opinion Hey, I have an idea. Why don't we talk about the Clinton's tax evasion/fraud? Let's talk about the difference between LEGALLY deducting loss, versus the Clinton's using the Global Initiative to launder foreign donations for their so-called charity. How about we talk about Chelsea's wedding being paid for by the so-called charity? Naw, it's much more fun complaining about Trump legally using the tax code to justify savings on paying income taxes. Let me ask you this, would you REALLY want a person leading you that was too stupid to use the tax code while running a multi-billion dollar business? What kind of leader would that make him? So the next idiot that still wants Trump's tax returns should think about that before making a fool of themselves. There is absolutely NO law that requires him to show them to you. I realize that this is difficult for slow learners to accept, but try real hard. |
