If you insist on modifying your comment to suit your argument, then perhaps you should also realize that the poster said that the Japanese "they sank our carriers and attacked us first. " He did NOT say anything about Pearl Harbor. They did sink our carriers and they did attack us first. He did not say that the carriers were sunk at Pearl Harbor. Although, it is questionable why you are even criticizing his statement anyway. His point was not how or why, but that they did attack us and the president did what he thought was best for our country, good or bad. Like I said before, it is easy to Monday morning quarterback.

Trump is attempting to protect America and you fools are just fighting him out of spite. You are a drowning victim that is fighting the lifeguard that's attempting to drag you out of the water.

They "attacked us first"?

What would you call a blockade imposed on your country by another country at least 6 month prior?

And act of peace?

The US laid siege on Japan LONG before Pearl Harbor.

Don Baldwin. I think you just like to fight. I bet you didn't join the army.

or Navy...or the coast guard.

How about the Peace Corp?

Are you and Dave Harris the same person? I have figured out who one of you are in real life. Very interesting.

The liberal agenda, change history to make Americans the evil ones.

Key word "attacked." Yes, America was responsible for just about bankrupting Japan due to their lack of natural resources. And I have basically over simplified my statement to make it shorter. I am not going to pursue this any further, since it has nothing to do with the subject. I was only defending someone's comment that was incidental to the comment about FDR putting Japanese into internment camps. I am not going to debate the motivation for someone entering into war. Whether anyone wishes to believe it or not, when America went to war with a country, if that country was defeated, they usually ended up gaining from us, economically. Japan and Germany did very well, thanks to us.

No...I like to be correct...and I want YOU to be correct too. When people say that Japan attacked us, unprovoked, a SNEAK attack...I MUST remind them that the FACTS were...the US blockaded a country we weren't at war with. We cut them off from the rest of the world. They attacked us MUCH later. And we DID know the attack was coming and we LET it happen because the people who control our government WANTED us in the war.

Our "his-story" books should be called propaganda books.

ME and Davi...the same person??? Are you kidding me?

I'm not changing history...I'm telling you what really happened...with Japan.

The countries we go to "war" with...DO end up better off...I'm not disagreeing with that. We give them everything they need to be customers of the globalist corporations. We lend them "money" so they can hire corporations to fix things. So they can buy things.

Don't believe all the propaganda...America hasn't been the country YOU think it is...for a long long time. We have our boot on everyone's neck. Troops in what 150 countries?

"United States military deployments. The military of the United States is deployed in more than 150 countries around the world, with over 300,000 of its active-duty personnel serving outside the United States and its territories."

"Despite recently closing hundreds of bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States still maintains nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries and territories abroad—from giant “Little Americas” to small radar facilities. Britain, France and Russia, by contrast, have about 30 foreign bases combined."

It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the Japanese 'looked different' than the white Germans...could it?

Given the current hysterical prejudice against 'brown-skinned people'...I guess things will never change for bigots and racists.
The Germans got here several generations before WWI and II, and did so in large numbers. Between 1820 and 1870 over seven and a half million German immigrants came to the United States — more than doubling the entire population of the country.

In contrast, the Japanese were recent arrivals, emigrating after 1880 and in smaller numbers. Between 1886 and 1911, 400,000 men and women left Japan for the U.S.

Lastly, no matter what you saw in that famous historical documentary "Animal House", the Germans did not bomb Pearl Harbor.
