Trump's Southern Wall.
CAN THEY DO THAT? Great wall of Trump faces great hurdles - US News
Looks extremely unlikely that he will be able to keep this promise. |

Making an argument based on opposition and cost does not make a case.
The cost of the wall (forget the red herring of who pays for it) will be more than off set by the expenses paid and mantaining of the hoards of illegals. The cost to communities ill prepared to take in those hoards kids in schools. The cost of health care for the hoards. If you had a hole in the boat in water filled with prhannia one would not spend much time jabbering about how much it costs to repair it. And the opposition would be just simply thrown overboard. There is no reason what so ever to not build the wall and close the border. It just has to be the priority. And the business/politics as usual cronys will not rsik the votes. Just do it....it is that simple. |

The wall is already there, it just hasn't been maintained for the last 7 years. It is badly needed. We wintered near the wall in 4 different areas for 4 years. It's not safe, that's why we are here.

Trump can deduct the money from the federal aid paid to Mexico.

How much money does the U.S. give to Mexico?
According to our research engine: The U.S. Government gave a total of $209,432,920 to Mexico in 2012: The aid was broken down in the following manner: Economic Child Survival and Health: $-12,200 Department of Defense Security Assistance: $39,854 Development Assistance: $17,948,047 Economic Support Fund/Security Support Assistance: $40,810,450 Global Health and Child Survival: $3,894,197 Narcotics Control: $27,565,779 Nonproliferation, Anti-Terrorism, Demining and Related: $7,074,531 Other Active Grant Programs: $15,381,152 Other State Assistance: $2,700,596 Other USAID Assistance: $2,764 Other USDA Assistance: $372,914 Peace Corps: $2,000,836 Military Military Assistance, Total: $91,654,000 "Numerous fact-checking organizations have taken issue with Trump's estimate that the wall would be built for $10 billion to $12 billion. And, they have rejected his contention that the wall could be funded by reducing the U.S. trade deficit with Mexico. Figures released by the Army Corps of Engineers and the Congressional Research Service indicate that the total cost of the current 650-mile fence has been $7 billion. And that doesn't include maintenance and upkeep." |

The cost of the wall is not an issue in the overall scheme of money being spent.
The issue is for the sake of national security, the boarder needs to be closed and secured. How can it be stated any more simply. Maybe if the illegals were allowed to set up tents on lawn spaces in TV some might finally be inspired to do something about it. And I do not mean just the common area I mean the green space around the homes as well. With no investment in the issue it is all too easy for too many to either do nothing or to claim it is not that big of a problem. The border needs to be closed and secured. Stand and be counted! |

Isn't it more complicated than a big wall if:
In a 2006 report, Pew estimated that "nearly half of all the unauthorized migrants now living in the United States entered the country legally through a port of entry such as an airport or a border crossing point where they were subject to inspection by immigration officials." While the source data gave an estimate that ranged from 33 percent to 50 percent, the report went middle-of-the-road and called it 45 percent. Rubio says 40% of illegal immigrants stayed in the U.S. after their visas expired | PolitiFact Florida Rubio thinks so. Trump doesn't. |

Deduct the money from Planned Parenthood. They don't need it.

If the Republicans want a wall, they are going to have to compromise on the illegal immigrants already here. The Democrats in the Senate will filibuster any bill that only is a wall, and deport everyone not here legally. Trump can beat his chest all he wants on the campaign trail. If he is elected president, God save us, he has to compromise, a word he doesn't have in his head, with people that don't agree with him, and have the power to stop him. Trump is nothing, but noise, and funny faces. There are not hoards of illegals coming across the southern border. The number of illegals hasn't changed much in past seven plus years. Can this statement be proven? No. But can the statement that hoards are coming across be proven? No. That statement is pure speculation. It depends on, which side of the wall, you are standing on, and who are listening to. |

How about the daily camera views showing lines of people coming across at night. So is it OK that only 60% of all coming are doing so illegally? Of course not. The wall does not fix the problem. It is a neccessary start that sends the message, the open door policy is no more. Next the boarder patrol needs to be directed to enforce the laws on immigration currently on the books. No paper work or wrong paper work turn around and hit the road. Visa is expired? Get ready because to be checked upon and sent back when found. One the boarders are closed and secured and the existing laws enforced we can determine what to do about the illegals that have lived here illegally for many years. They cannot remain in illegal status. That does not mean deport automatically. It means a determination to be made on what it takes to remain. Those who are arguing aginst the wall are unfortunately victims of the partisan vote pandering offense. |

Reverse the situation and cross into Mexico illegally. See what their policy is toward "ILLEGAL" entry. We are so used to illegals crossing that when the numbers flatten a bit many think the problem has subsided. Illegal is Illegal except in the USA where our politicians selectively enforce laws to suit their policies and views.

You are obviously thinking of the instance many months ago when a drunk ex-Marine crossed into Mexico with weapons in his car and was held for some time in Mexican prison. |
