Default Some positive notes on Bush....

This morning as I scour the news, I find it interesting that so much is printed that is actually positive about our last President.

Julian Zelizer, a professor of History and Public Affairs at Princenton University writes this morning in speaking of the Bush legacy...

"A president once dismissed as a lightweight, as an accidental president, clearly left his imprint on Washington. The Democrat who replaced him, a politician who won amidst the anger and frustration with Bush, has ended up accepting many of the policies his Republican predecessor put into place."

http://www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/12/1...ush/index.html

He speaks in the article to the fact that President Obama has accepted and refinforced most of his counter terrorism policies while lambasting them when a candidate. Now, he is endorsing the tax cuts that Bush put into place as part of the package he negotiated angering the Democratic party.

Professor Zelizer also discusses the theories that motivate the tax cuts..he supplies the following....

""The crucial question in a capitalist country," wrote George Gilder, a leading voice of supply-side economics, in 1981, "is the quality and quantity of investment by the rich."

Now on that subject, this President who talks a good game but "out of both sides of his mouth", is tomorrow having a summit on business tomorrow to ask companies why they are sitting on a trilliion dollars instead of investing in their companies and creating jobs....

Lets see...

They don't know what their tax rates are going to be next year.

They don't know what their energy costs are going to be by the time the administration gets done pushing stealth cap and tax.

They don't know what their healthcare costs are going to be with the rampant increases thanks to Obamacare.

They don't know how much more anti-business and pro-labor crap they'll pass by fiat, harming business.

They don't know what new stifling regulations will be handed down by the EPA, increasing costs.

So, Mr President.....you just TALK a good game.
