Default The Largest Tax Increase in U.S. History

Unless something is done pretty quickly; Obama is set to break yet another, and by far the biggest promise he made to the American people.

At the end of the year the Bush Tax Cuts expire and it is the least able among us who will pay the highest percentage. Lower income people in the 10% bracket will see their federal taxes increase by 50% to 15%.

Obama pledged he would end these tax cuts, but promised he would retain them for individuals earning $200,000 or less, and couples earning $250,000 or less. Yet there is no talk of fixing this in the news that I've seen.

Remember Congress doesn't have to do anything for these tax cuts to sunset and expire. They have to do something to continue them in any aspect.

What's been Obama's record thus far in keeping his promises?

I think we're in for yet another letdown and for another economic nosedive.

I really thought that the realization of the large "tax increases" that are coming our way in the form of the Bush Tax Cuts sun-setting at years end would cause some consternation.

I guess everyone's pretty flush.

When CLinton hiked taxes things still ended up pretty good. Personally I think it was because of the spending limitations that were passed as part of the tax bills.

Correction!!! Clinton's massive tax increases provided short term revenues.
The resulting usual loss of initiative and funds for investment soon reduced revenues to the point that Clinton left the country on the brink of a bad recession.

Please before making these statements do some research that is not a Liberal
biased source.

Default Why the reference to "budgets"? There is not a budget inplace!!!!

No budget means anything and everything is fair game to spend as much as they want....there is no speed limit!!!

And of course the real advantage of no budget is not having to state how much money will be spent for things like health care reform. No budget? No problem, no explanation required.

Without a budget they do not have to address how they plan to pay for what they are spending....above and beyond revenues...which currently amounts to 40 cents of every dollars spent is borrowed.

Obama is keeping his promise....change...do not listen to the will of the people...spend what ever they like whether they have the money or not...increased the size of government bigger than any predecessor...plays the race card as a daily practice...and on and on...

A perfect one term candidate.

Ranks right up there with "so's your old man" and "your mother wears combat boots". Pretty rank alright! Our only 'HOPE' as a country is that there is massive 'CHANGE' this november and continues in 2012. If not, think back fondly to when you were allowed to utter those words and are waiting in long lines for medical attention (if you qualify), unemployment benefits, if they still exist, and other government handouts, if they deem you worthy. Try doing a little UNBIASED research and find out what 'change' your hero has in store for you!

Default Just another "drive by" shot with no substance.

None of us has to be right....just offer/back your opinion.
And yes some of us do not subscribe to the notion that anything said against Obama is wrong or unacceptable or not allowed. It is our opinion...and perhaps the opposition has noted that even the media....yes the media...is talking about the the MAJORITY of this country is not in favor of Obama or the direction of or the status of this country...except maybe the drive bys!!
