Ole Mitch didn't hurt my feelings. He simply stated that the goal of the Republican Party, led by him, was to hurt the Obama presidency. Not to work together. Not to help America. But to win elections. Now he wants us to cozy up and work together.

Next, I am liberal. Proud of it. So you're wasting your time thinking that I will take that moniker as an insult. Liberals are Progressive. The opposite of progressive is regressive. Uh, that would be you. Those with liberal ideas are the only ones who have accomplished the big things in our history because they have the courage to try something new and different, and the intelligence to know that the only way to improve is to change. Unlike you, I'll cite some examples. The Emancipation Proclamation. The Voting Rights Act. The Civil Rights Movement. The Peace Corp. Women's right to vote. Universal public education. Rural electrification. And yes, the Affordable Care Act, flawed thought it might be, at least it's an attempt to address a real problem in this country. This list could go on and on, but you can Google that for yourself.

I am repeating those talking points of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, narcissism, and KKK support because they were true during the election and they are still true after the election. He said those things, so he owns those things. The appointment of Steve Bannon is a pretty clear example that he hasn't changed his mind or his personality. That doesn't go away just because the election is over. I'm sure you still think Secretary Clinton is a crook and that the ACA is ruining America, even though the election is over. Sorry fellow, but this was a pretty brainless argument.

You are correct that Secretary Clinton will not win the Electoral College selection. Too bad. But you can not deny that she received 2.5 million more votes than Trump. Sorry buddy, but that's just a fact, which are things that many Trump supporters have a hard time dealing with. Come to think of it, you probably will deny that she got more votes, but the FACTS prove otherwise. Here's a suggestion. Watch something other than FOX News occasionally to see how the majority of the American voters think.

Now I'm going to use your own logic against your argument. You stated, "It was NOT the majority of America. Only half the registered voters even turned out to vote so, you can say maybe a quarter of America feels the way you do." However many feel the way I do, it's undeniable that less than that number feel the way you do, by about 2.5 million. So if Secretary Clinton has the support of 25%, then how much can Trump claim, maybe 23%? Maybe we can agree that all Americans should vote, but if all Americans had voted in this election do you really think Trump would have won?

Poor loser? You bet. Go ahead and enjoy your end zone touchdown dance while you can, because just like the way conservatives treated President Obama, everything that happens for the next four years is on Trump, and you can expect to hear about it every day!

Spot on. Day one for Trump: repeal the ACA; privatize Medicare, social security and the VA; start rounding up 11 million illegals; start building the wall; ban all Muslims from entering the country.

Obama won, yes. Trump won, yes. How does the percentage of electoral votes make a difference? Hillary lost, which is a step in the right direction.

Schumer is a scumbag that will undoubtedly never achieve anything more than where he is now. He has peaked, and his mouth is going to make him just as much an idiot villain as Lying Harry Reid.

If Mattis is blocked, which would be political suicide for any politician, then America will be up in arms and anyone opposing his confirmation will surely suffer the political consequences.

You on the left really want America to fail, don't you? Losing really means that much. So pathetic.

As some one who said over and over that this was a con, I have tried and still am trying to support what this new President might do.

I recall saying a number of times that I felt bad for Trump supporters because I felt it all was a charade, and a business exercise for the Trump co.. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but hearing today that when Nancy Pelosi called President Elect Trump and began to discuss some women issues like child care, he simply handed the phone to his daughter.

I really hope I am wrong, and try hard each day to find reasons, but he is doing nothing to reassure me, or his supporters.

He can say whatever he wants to make himself feel macho, but we need China badly, and he cannot simply turn his back on them. He can ignore conflict of interests as he is doing (based on little said about the Dec 15 announcement), but just seems that BE step forward and two back.

You TRIED...and failed to address the comments...as usual, you have it wrong...let me enlighten you:

The ONLY thing "progressive" about liberals is...they're PROGRESSIVELY destroying America and our culture. Infecting it with 3rd world dregs. The opposite of "progressive" in this situation is..."saving", we're trying to SAVE America and it's culture from becoming 3rd world, a Mexico II.

So...WHEN will you have the intelligence to realize that after 150 years of freedom, and 50 years of affirmative action and quotas...they're STILL hopelessly lost in a modern complex civilization? When will you ADMIT it was a failure? A noble gesture for sure...but doomed to failure because they are NOT like us...they are NOT us.

The Emancipation Proclamation, you think it "freed the slaves"? ONLY in the south, ONLY in the CSA...in the north, slavery was still legal and practiced. It was a political maneuver. Lincoln himself said we'd NEVER all get along as equals.

Voting Rights Act, sure it was great...now we have 50 million + on welfare voting themselves MORE and MORE free stuff. The minorities are becoming the majority, they will be in 30 years...what are you going to do when they decide that white people MUST be relocated back? It could happen...Hispanics are mostly native indian blood...they want their lands back.

The Civil Rights Act was the beginning of the end for America. When THEY became protected and promoted...that is when we started our long slide...from #1 to now #23. Affirmative action and quotas destroyed education and business. Busting neighborhoods destroyed culture. Replacing it with black "Thug" culture. Our cities have become poorer and more dangerous each year since the 60s. The slums have grown in violence and expanded in area.

Peace Corps? Where you go visit STONE AGE people and try to make them into modern humans? It's a complete waste of time. They're genetically 50,000 years of civilization behind us.

Affordable care act..."we have to pass it to see what's in it"...because IF we knew...we WOULDN'T pass it. All, it does is make sure the medical community gets paid and poor people can be kept alive to collect MORE welfare. Are we idiots or what? Millions of people are leeching from us...so we send them to a doctor to cure them...so we can keep supporting them. Oh, and they hate us and aren't afraid to blame everything wrong with their lives on us.

You want to solve the REAL problems in this country? Get rid of ALL the politicians we have now...from the town level on up...they ALL must go, because the corruption starts down low.

Get rid of the 100 million Hispanics and their anchor babies that invaded us over the last 30 years. If we don't the country is LOST.

Actually, the average is 17% in all past elections. That's how many on average elect the president, that's how many votes they actually get.

I hope he does 1/10th of what he promised...but I doubt we'll see anything...just business as usual, more borrowing, more spending, and more worthless projects that will enrich a lot of people. THAT is why the big shots back BOTH horses...they win no matter who wins. I hope he DOES exactly what you hope he doesn't.
