I know what you are saying about the fee increases. I realize that maintenance is costly, but it is a shame that the rate increases aren't commensurate with our COLA percentages.

If the demand for championship golf wains, and courses close for lack of support, 'The Family' will have a lot of prime housing sites available.
Probably why they retained ownership of the championship courses. |

Loving the courses............layout, conditions & prices.
First played here 15 years ago. Conditions have not changed............yes there are BRIEF times of poor conditions, but they are addressed and the conditions improve. COLA increases (which is just an average) will not maintain the course conditions. |

Prime housing sites? Not so much. Golf courses are often located where you can't easily build houses. For example, Evans Praire is pretty low and wet. Many of the golf courses become overflow areas when the retention ponds can't handle the rainfall such as when Irma came through.

You may have to plan or give up something else.
