Dear Valued Villages GPS Users,

We are thrilled to announce a significant update to our app, bringing you enhanced directions and a host of other improvements.

However, to maintain the high quality of service you've come to expect, we've transitioned to a yearly subscription model for NEW users as of November 13th, 2023, for iPhone / iPads and Nov 2, 2023, for Android users.


New Users:
For new users joining the Villages GPS family, this subscription will give you access to all the app's features, including the latest updates and ongoing improvements, without seeing any ads.


Existing Owners:

iPhone / iPad users…If you purchased the Villages GPS app before November 13th, 2023, you're grandfathered in and will not be affected by the subscription change.

Android users…If you purchased the Villages GPS app before Nov 2, 2023, you're grandfathered in and will not be affected by the subscription change.

If you get a popup saying to Install and subscribe… Just turn off your phone, turn it back on, and try the app again.
If, for some reason, that didn’t work, Please email us at VillagesGPS@gmail.com, and we will respond as soon as possible!

You can continue enjoying the app without any additional charges unless you decide to change your phone type.


Please note that you will not be billed annually unless you change your original phone type or opt for the ad-free subscription.

For instance, if you switch from an iPhone to an iPhone or Android to an Android device, your subscription will remain active.

However, if you move from an iPhone to an Android or vice versa, you will need to purchase a new subscription, as the app's data cannot be transferred between different operating systems.

Ad Removal Option for Existing Owners:
Existing owners who would like to bid farewell to ads can now opt for an annual ad-free subscription at just $6.99 per year. To do this, navigate to the "More Info" section and find the "Hide Ads" option.


App Development Costs:
We understand that switching to a subscription model may raise concerns, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. The costs associated with app development, including maintenance, updates, and third-party integrations, have significantly increased over the past two years.

As a small team of dedicated Villagers, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience, but these rising costs have made it challenging to maintain our current pricing structure.
