Default Approaching Storm Debby

Hello to all - Casandra with Pike's Electric here. Happy Friday, and hope everyone is doing well and staying cool!
You may have heard of "Debby" developing and the anticipation is she will be heading this direction. It has been very slow development but it is something to keep an eye on, especially as the hurricane season progresses to its peak time.
Although not a hurricane, there is no better time than now to prepare your home for the inclement weather that is already happening and what Debby may bring to us within the next week or so.
I have attached our Hurricane Preparedness Tips flyer for your reference.
Throughout the past few weeks we have received numerous calls with issues after nearby and direct lightning strikes on Villages properties that we have responded to. Most commonly, tripped breakers/GFCIs, burnt out switches, lighting, transformers for lighting, and other related concerns.
We want you to know we are here for you, through the business week, and through the evenings and weekends with our Emergency After Hours availability.
You can reach an on-call experienced technician via our main office line during after hours for emergency electrical problems.
If there is anything else we can help you with for your home's electrical, we are an email or phone call away!

Last I heard, "she" was a tropical wave, whatever that is, with a 60% chance of developing winds of 39 mph or over and thus qualifying for a name.

The chance is much higher now to travel up through the gulf. My opinion, looks like it might make it to a Cat 1. At minimum, lots of rain expected.
