4.23" at Fenney SE
Use an all electronic "Tempest" weather station mounted on an 8 foot pole (no moving parts). It is linked to Weather Underground. You can get hyperlocal weather information online and in their app. Temps, rain, wind, lightning strikes with distance, barometer, etc. Any atmospheric info you can think up including historical info. Tempest station: Tempest Weather System – WeatherFlow Weather Underground: Local Weather Forecast, News and Conditions | Weather Underground Wildwood weather data: Wildwood, FL Weather Conditions | Weather Underground Here is my station: Tempest Historical info is available in most of the established online sites. You just need to dig into the menus or do a Google search. Stay dry! |

As a bonus, the Tempest is linked to my Rachio irrigation controller and can hold a scheduled irrigation event when a set rainfall amount is reached.

Been here since 2004. Slept like a baby the other night and didn't know it rained hard till my wife told me in the morning. No rain gauge to measure rainfall, because with the great flood control systems here in The Villages I'm not worried. I can't believe so many people have rain gauges.

We keep our rain gauge in the kitchen, and once again didn't show any rainfall at all.
Don't think it works properly! |

Ask yourself, "what is the reason for this wetter than normal weather". I know the answer, but most people will be reluctant to believe it. 2023 was the warmest year on temperature-recorded history. Warmer air holds MORE MOISTURE. This is going to happen for the next 8 years, at least. The oceans will rise because a HUGE glacier broke off of Antarctica (look it up, please). Florida will be one of the most affected states, but no one wants to fix the problem because ONLY scientists (not ordinary citizens) believe that a problem exists. Anti-science is almost a new religion in the US.
