Default Hottest July Ever -- The Calamity Continues

Dec 27 at 1 PM at the Bridgeport Recreation Center for the Science & Tech Club meeting. Hear about the "Hottest July Ever" and how NOAA and NASA alter and even fabricate climatic temperature data. See how temperature data for Belle Glade, Florida are being created -- even though that observation station stopped reporting in 2005.

So now the Villages has a Science and Tech club that doesn't believe in science? When are you having the lecture on the flat earth?

Merry Christmas!

The audience will also discover that (just last year) over 40% of all long-term, climatic, monthly temperature records were fabricated for observing stations that no longer exist. That percentage began rapidly increasing during the 1990s ... the same time "global warming" became a big news item. Since "science" is based on data, it's helpful to know how temperature data is observed and/or created.

Not a problem. Since this (and climate change related talks in general) are the most requested and create the most lively Q&A sessions, it is already scheduled for future clubs and "non-science" groups -- and has even be given outside the Villages -- including Gainesville. This talk, along with the "Florida Hurricanes" and the "Villages 2007 Groundhog Day Tornado" talks, are the top 3 most requested. Most can be scheduled for any group, and can be tailored in time and content to fit the event's needs ... TheWeatherClubVillages.com

Considering how much time I probably have left on this earth, the climate is not something I worry about.

That great philosopher/scientist Dr. Sheldon Cooper wants to know if this is sarcasm?

That depends on how you wish to label NOAA intentions. Here is the URL, which provides the temperature data which is used in today's talk. As you can see, NOAA updates these altered and fabricated temperature records daily ... Index of /pub/data/ushcn/v2.5

Well, I dunno about the data, but this past July (actually, this whole past summer) was the first my wife and I have spent in The Villages and I loved it. Arthritis that plagued me in Minnesota was just about nonexistent here. And tee times in the afternoons were absolutely no problem.

What's not to like?
