Yamaha Electric Cart 40+ Mile Range
Please help. This question is for current owners of a Yamaha Electric Cart with the 8, 6 volt battery package. My Villages Golf Cart Sales Rep promises that this cart will deliver a consistent 40+ mile range, day after day, any weather, no excuses, with an overnight charge the only requirement. What say you?
Thanks! |

I would think that they are correct. I have a 2011 Yamaha electric with the 8 -6volt batteries. I live in Buttonwood & recently I drove to Glenview GC, played 18 & drove home. The battery meter showed slightly less than half power remaining in the battery. I believe this trip was around 25 miles.

Based upon my experience with electric carts I believe that is realistic. I have driven 35 miles or more several times with six 8V batteries, so I feel comfortable saying eight 6V would deliver 40 miles.

40 miles +
I am a golf cart dealer that has converted many carts to 8 six volt batteries
and 40 + is conservative, 50 + is a reality. |

Caution... As the batteries age, they will lose a little bit. I am no expert, but I'd guess a three year old set of batteries might cut you milage down a substancial amount.
