Default Do you wonder why????

I wonder why no one has thought of, or installed electric charging stations throughout the villages?? If there were portable coin or credit card charging stations for golf carts,( like they do with air pumps) someone would make a fortune! You could charge your cart while you eat dinner, go to the square, etc..I know there are a lot of Villagers who travel a lot in their carts and would want to make sure they have enough juice to get home...I MUST be missing soomething because there are a lot of smarter folks than I...Just curious!

wlou....one challenge is that every cart manufacturer has a different type of charger. Unless you carry your charger with you (which most people wouldn't), you'll need more than just an electrical outlet. Some Par Car models have the charger built in.

And, even within a manufacturer ... different chargers for 36 vs 48v.

And, probably, other factors to consider. Liability issues.

I recall seeing a cart with a very long extension cord charging up at a pool/postal station one day.

Default Actually I used

The "2 for 1 drink" shack outlet in the squares when my charge was low, don't know if that is "cricket" but it was out of necessity...

Default not sure but . . .

a golf cart salesman told us that when you plug in the charger it doesn't really do much for about 2 hours, thus the need for the overnight charge. Not sure that is true, but that's what we were told. I know - when you plug it in, the indicator gauge on the charger swings to high after a few seconds.

Just another reason I bought a gas cart.
