Yes. But you know how it is when people stop over for a drink and you realize you are out of mix, you need to get to the store and back fast!

Lest I get bombarded with safety messages, I really do ride responsibly. After riding without incident for 40+ years, four years ago I slid on some grave that I didn't see and wound up in the hospital for a week. know how painful mishaps can be in an open vehicle. That said, and in view of some very good and throughtful advice, I moved ahead to purchased a street legal Par Car. Some reasons we thought it was an appropriate course of action for us include: (Your milage may vary.)
*We enjoy going for rides in a golf cart just to look at whatever is out there to see.
*We often find ourselves a long way from where we want to be while in a golf cart and we thought the ability to get out on the street thus avoiding the tunnels and turns in the multimodal trails might be useful on occasion. We expect to run in regularl golf cart mode most of the time.
*With the tax credit, the acquisition cost was quite a bit less than a comparably equipped regular electric cart. It should be worth more than we paid for it for at least a couple of years. If we find we prefer a regular cart, we still have options to sell it or modify it to a regular cart to save insurance and license costs.
