Default Gas Cart ... "Silencer"?

I thought I once read on TOTV that there was a product you could have installed on the motor, to silence the noise. Does anyone have any info on such a product? Anyone out here smart enough to engineer one? (I'm not, unfortunately.)

Mick, first the caveat --- I don't know diddly squat about automotive mechanics.

Now --- there's a small exhaust (I think) pipe that comes straight down out of your motor. I think it's got a small bend at the bottom to send the fumes toward the back. I've heard that if you attach a longer pipe that reaches the rear of the cart, it will quiet it somewhat, and push the fumes away from the seat area.

Comments from you smarter folks???

THANKS for the suggestions. I'm pre-planning at this stage, won't be relocating till a year from now. I will investigate as I get closer to the move.

yeah, I believe a better muffler with longer exhaust pipes will help.
Also, someone suggested using premium gas on another thread, says it helps the exhaust quite a bit.
