Your explanation of what happens to gas in a cylinder is way off base.
Excess gas that does NOT get burned runs down the cylinder walls and thins out the oil. It puts black soot in the cylinder head. And if it is excess enough you will see BLACK smoke come out of the exhaust pipe. Same thing in golf cart and cars and trucks. If you see black smoke the engine is running too rich and the cylinders and piston rings are getting premature excessive WEAR.

You know it’s not just the governor that controls speed on these carts. Gear ratios can be changed, tire size altered, clutch assembly reworked, exhaust altered There are numerous ways to speed them up.

Again, I hope you are NOT a mechanic.

Where, anywhere does any statute say 19.9.

As the OP certainly can testify there are thousands of law breakers here in Florida's friendliest home town.

You must be talking about carts with carbs on them because EFI carts don’t have these issues.

Don’t wast your time conversing with someone who hates internal combustion engines and likes to make stuff up in a lame attempt to justify his opinion.

I'd say you need to get your radar gun calibrated

That is why only a FOOL would buy a USED golf cart that has been modified !!!!!!!
Do you also have a radar gun?

If your "so called" 30 mph is "about average", that would mean there would have to be many many carts going close to 40 mpg to average up the thousands who never altered their carts...

Sorry, no way, no how...

I bought my cart used and it tops out at 22 mph with 1 person riding, downhill with the wind. I've been passed once...

Fuel injectors often go bad or gum up. They also have to spray at the correct time. That IS why they need to be periodically inspected and cleaned. Also that IS why NEW replacement injectors are SOLD. If they NEVER sprayed out droplets that are too large then there would NOT ever be the problems that I discussed - like washing down the cylinder walls and causing friction and excessive wear.

A simple way to realize that I am right is to look at the BLACK smoke that some carts put out, And sit near where they travel by on a windless day or night and you can SMELL them go by, We ALL have experienced that. It's just a fact that SMALL IC engines are likely to NOT burn as clean as newer cars and trucks. The cars are forced into cleaner operation by the Federal Government than are the golf carts. Gas golf carts have less pollution control than cars and trucks.
