Talking Golf Cart Gas Mileage

We have been here full time for a year now. We bought a new 2020 Yamaha Quitech, 4 seater from The Villages last September. I have to say I am simply amazed by the mileage. The first time I checked I thought, this is too good so I will check it again. I calculated the mileage 3 times and have averaged 53 miles per gallon! We have already logged 1900 miles in 9 months on the cart.

I have never checked the mileage but I know I can burn through a tank of gas in a week.

We go everywhere, Brownwood a number of times, the other squares, both Walmart’s, Lowes, Dollar Tree, down Morse, onto Moyer Loop, now over the 3 new bridges, north, south, east and west.

Sorry for being off topic, but can anyone tell me how to start a new thread? I see no place/button to do so.

Thanks

Yamaha strongly recommends recreational gas which is expensive. My car gets better mileage then my golf cart.

I have had 4 golf carts in the last 10 years. Checked gas mileage very carefully on all. Never attained more than 43 mpg on any. the neighbors and friends that I have spoken to , have had results similar to mine. 53 MPG?

No, they don't. Read your owner's manual.

My '12 Yamaha 4-seater has always got +50 mpg, except when 5 of us cruised TVs, only 48 mpg. On regular gas, over 15,000 miles.
