Rates seem to range from ~ $75 to 200 per year depending on the company, the type of cart, and who knows what else. Definitely get a few quotes and make sure you are comparing similar coverage. If you go with a street legal cart, though, you will pay much more -- similar rates to a car. Good luck.

The Villages Insurance has everything bundled for us through Progressive. Out cart portion is $137 per year.

Do NOT get this through your house insurance, you may find out that you have NO coverage when you are on the road, the house insurance is strictly for damage when it is in (at) the house. If it is 'bundled' with your house insurance (as ours is) you have a separate policy (usually a motorcycle policy) that covers the golf cart, and you get a discount for having it bundled with the house insurance. Not sure how you have a FL car insured out of state, as I recall you have 6 months to register your car in Florida, you may want to check on this also.

I have two golf carts and they require insurance separate from HO or auto. I was advised by a friend that used to work for the Villages Golf Cart to use Foremost insurance they properly cover the upgraded carts as used/sold here in TV whereas somme other insurance companies insure them like run-of-the-mill golf course carts. I bought both of my Yamaha carts new in 2018 and my yearly insurance is $327 for both of them. I did file a claim with Foremost for some damage but was not over the deductible so they never actually had to pay but they were responsive when I called them.

Ours is insured through Progressive, about $104 per year as I recall. We insure everything through them which entitles us to some substantial discounts.

Just insured ours in Nov through Progressive as sold by the villages Insurance. Price was in the $130s. The difference is if you have an existing automobile insurance policy or not. Since we don't as we haven't moved down yet, it was on the higher side.
The cart is NOT street legal with a max speed < 20 mph. If street legal which is max speed between 20 and 25 mph, the rate approached $1,000. . . . and requires DMV licensing, etc. . . so you have a good range of answers here, and don't forget a custom key, not the standard as sold with key to slow down thefts. Might also want to hide an apple air tag inside the cart. Apple's AirTags Are Being Abused by Car Thieves, Stalkers | Digital Trends as not sure the thieves here are as smart as up north. . . #judgement alert good luck. . . |

For our 2 carts we went to the Villages Insurance Co and they have us with Foremost. Forget the price but it wasn’t bad.

You must watch Villages Insurance wanted to bundle and save. Had policy Florida Travelers was quoted $400 more annually than what I was paying thru another agency Tlorida Travelers Auto. I challenged them their statement was “that’s the way it is”. They lost my homeowners policy and saved more with othe agency. Their loss my gain.
