Default Poll, What Golf Cart Do You Drive?

Thanks to all that took the time to participate in this poll!

Searched for polls on what types of golf carts people drive in The Villages and found that there hasn't been one done in years.

Since the last poll, there have been many new brands on the market so thought it would be a good idea to do another one.

Evolution, Icon, Kodiak, Bintelli, Atomic, Crown and maybe others didn't exist when the last poll was done a decade ago.

Unfortunately, I'm new here and don't have any idea how to set one up. Maybe someone with more experience on here could volunteer to do it?

Great Post, I also will be interested in some replies.

We have a 1 1/2 stall garage that houses our Toyota Highlander.
We haven't bought a golfcart yet and notice it would be a tight fit if we did.

I seen a white Evolution at BJ's the other day and it looked really sharp.

Unfortunately, given the recent news that 2 carts have been stolen from resident’s driveways, I reluctant to give out any info like that….sorry.

Saw that and tried that but when I hit preview post it didn't show up as a poll so I thought I must have not formatted it correctly. Being new on here I didn't want to screw it up so I figured I would leave it to someone more experienced than me.

This poll will mostly show results around The Villages and since most of The Villages Golf Cart dealerships at least at all 3 town centres have a deal with Yamaha and push this product as their primary #1 cart to sell you will obviously have a lop-sides poll result. The best built cart and number 1 cart manufacturer in the world is Club Car for obvious reasons. Check how they are built compared to other brands. Of course all brands will have certain Pro’s & Con’s but I love both my Club Car Precedent and Onward, both gas. Would not trade them for anything else even if the Villages Cart Dealership don’t really push these to customers.

Since we own both a gas Club Car Precedent and Yamaha EFI, I have first hand experience and knowledge about the two carts mentioned in the above post. It’s not even close between which cart provides a superior owner experience. Club Car has had several unscheduled maintenance problems, is significantly louder, has much less room for the driver and passenger, has a much stiffer suspension so driving over bumps is unpleasant, gets worse gas mileage, and the wheel well wouldn’t accommodate 10 inch tires without a lift kit. The Yamaha on the other hand has only had one minor issue in seven plus years, a heat shield that began to rattle, which was easily fixed with a couple of oversized hose clamps. The Yamaha has much more driver/ passenger space, is extremely reliable, very comfortable and absorbs bumps very well, is extremely quiet, and gets fantastic mileage and has about 275 miles of range. The only advantages I would give the Club Car is that the steering is a little tighter and it’s much smaller driver cockpit area is a better fit for short people like my wife and daughter.

It’s no surprise gas Yamaha carts are by far the most common ride in the Villages, they are simply the best.

I owned an electric Club Car when we were in Naples for 6 years and it was good for my use at the time. It wouldn’t work here though. We have a Yamaha on order and have an Ezgo loaner. It is noisy and vibrates too much. I think the reason Yamaha is so popular is the Quietech gas engine. We also have an Atomic and love it. It’s just for transportation though.

You need to add lithium to the list.

I drive and EZGO Elite.

I rented an EzGo from The Villages for our guests. The cart appeared to be brand-new.

It was rough riding, noisy, and difficult to drive smoothly.

When I returned the cart, I joked with the salesman at Villages Carts that the best sales tactic for Yamaha would be to first make a customer drive an EzGo. In return, he said nothing, and just smiled.

Got an almost new EZGO loaner recently and was equally unimpressed when compared to our 2014 Yamaha EFI.

We have two Yamaha EFI golf carts. One purchased from a private individual and the other discount golf carts on 466. No complaints. When we decide again to buy - will give consideration to a lithium powered cart.

Slight difference of opinion

I own a Yamaha EFI, my wife has a club car. There is no comparison, the club car sucks for all the reasons tophcfa mentioned, and a few more.
