My advice is don't get too caught up in finding a U.S. manufacturer. The first one on your list is made in China, not Florida. I've used three different brands of lithium batteries: Evolution, Dakota, and currently Vatrer. The Vatrer is a very well-made battery, and I highly recommend it. You can buy directly from them or through their Amazon store. https://a.co/d/0hI7NlYv |

Installed 2 of the DIGI CS-Plus 48V 100Ah Golf Cart Lithium Battery in Parallel mode. Total price delivered $2,198.00 from Building an Integrated Closed-loop Energy Circle Via Intelligent Syste
– DIGI MARKER These batteries have CAN Communication Parallel Support and Burst Power: 400A/30s and 1000A/3s peak current, Built-in Premium 12V Converter, replacing old trojan lead acid ones. I installed in a 2021 Yamaha PTV PowerTech 2-seater with 600AMP Navitas Controller. First test (5-2-2026): Deluna Neighborhood Poker run, 45 miles running about 24MPH, had 53% remaining when we got back. I’m happy with the dollar per amp hour and range. I realize these may not be for everyone, being the DYI route. But do agree with the post above, 99% of these LiFe4PO4 /prismatic cells all come from China with companies here assembling and combining with differnet BMS's. |

I have previously spoken to most of those battery manufacturers (importers is more correct) at trade shows.
Of those listed only one is "made in the USA" (Skunkworks) and they're actually just assembled in the USA using Chinese parts. Look at the manufacturers warranty and how long their "battery" label has been in business, because personally, I can care less about how long they have been putting electric motors in VW bugs... By the way, I've hand built at least a dozen custom lithium cart batteries and have been following the topic closely for the past 7 years. Currently, I recommend either Bolt or ECO and I'm lean towards Bolt if it fits due to warranty and fewer "software update" type of issues, but ECO has more size options. As for cost, a reputable dealer should offer FREE installation if they are charging full retail price, ( also most of the manufacturers are requiring sales prices be fixed at the MSRP) for a complete kit including battery, brackets, charger, meter, cables. Look online at ECO and Bolts website and check the MSRP and that's about what you should pay installed. Also I think that Battery Boys and Battery Brothers, while convenient, are not to be trusted. I've seen them charge over $4,000 for a cheap $900 no-name Amazon battery, then not provide warranty service for it. Try Bo's Buggies, he is a local family run business who is affordable and reliable. Last time I checked he offered free installation. Bo's Buggies 352 933-3441 Quote:

What is true is that Trojan Battery is an American company, but the OnePack lithium system uses globally sourced lithium components and cells, as is common throughout the lithium battery industry. A lot of people focus only on where the lithium cells come from, but that is only one piece of the equation. The reality is that nearly every lithium battery company in the golf cart industry sources at least some components globally. What matters more is who engineers the complete system, who performs the testing, who provides long term support, and whether the product has legitimate third party certifications. That is where the Trojan OnePack separates itself from many of the smaller brands and random online batteries. Trojan Battery has been building batteries for roughly 100 years and has one of the strongest reputations in the golf cart industry. Their lithium systems are designed specifically for golf cart applications, not just repurposed generic lithium packs with a golf cart sticker on them. The UL certifications and ISO certified manufacturing processes are a much bigger deal than many people realize. UL certification means the battery system has gone through independent third party safety testing for things like thermal protection, electrical faults, battery management systems, wiring protection, and safe operation. ISO certification means the company operates under documented quality control and manufacturing standards instead of just assembling batteries in a warehouse with little oversight. That becomes extremely important with lithium because a poorly designed or poorly protected battery system can become a serious safety issue. A lot of the cheaper batteries online may advertise huge amp hour numbers and low prices, but many have limited testing, questionable warranty support, and little long term track record. Several people in this thread even mentioned staying away from Amazon batteries because of reliability and safety concerns, and honestly that is smart advice. The OnePack also has advantages beyond certifications. It is a true integrated conversion system with an advanced BMS, redundant safety protections, Bluetooth monitoring, nationwide dealer support, and a long warranty backed by a company that is likely going to still be around ten years from now. Trojan specifically markets the system as designed and assembled in the USA with dedicated technical support. At the end of the day, anybody can import lithium cells. The difference is the engineering, testing, support network, and accountability behind the finished product. That is what you are really paying for with a premium battery system. I had Cart World In Lady Lake install my 105 AH OnePack a year ago and it has operated flawlessly. In my Precident, I go about 29 mph and have a range of about 45 miles. |
