Default T 1275 Batteries

Any opinions on Trojan T-1275 12V batteries appreciated. My cart has 4 of these in use for the last 10 months. Still runs well for a while, but after 6-8 miles the voltage drops and the speed decreases a little. Seems to be getting worse. Always kept charged & watered. This is way too short a life. Any thoughts?

Default Batteries

You never said how old the batteries were. Most batteries have a 3 - 5 year life span, so if these are getting near that, you might want to look at replacements. You also might want to look at converting your battery configuration from 4 12 volts to 8 6 volts. Both give you the 48 volt rate but the 8 six volts will give you far greater range. My cart (2007 Yamaha) originally came with the 4 12's. When new I was getting about 30 miles to the charge. Since I converted to the 8 sixes, I am currently getting 65 + miles per charge.
