Been doing a lot of recent research and landed on EV but told by a couple of evolution dealers they don’t expect any new inventory and continue to have parts issues . Hidden Creek now receiving TARA models which are built by Evolution. Any recent advice on Tara or other EV models and have other folks experienced the lack of Evolution inventory? I really like the Star serious but new are $19-26k . Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I bought an electric one from TV last year and after about 6,000 miles everything works great.
One thing to think about is what you buy outside of TV you have get it serviced outside as well.

Although both carts claim to be manufactured in the USA, both of their parts come mostly from China. Conclusion, run away from both and stick with something where you know you can reliably get replacement parts in the future.

Also check with your insurance company. It could be classified as an LSV instead of a golf cart.

Go to Adventure EV in Wildwood near Ace Hardware. The Venom carts they sell are really nice and you get a lot of options for the money.
They also make the enclosures in house, with your choice of colors and patterns. Owner is a great guy. Worth checking out.

We have two Yamaha gas carts ( I realize this is a post about EV carts) and have lived here for just under 8 years. In those 8 years, we've been gone for more than 2 years, traveling. In those effective 6 years, we have put over 35,000 miles combined (18K+ on one and 17K+ on the other) between our two carts. So, 6,000 miles in a year isn't outside the norm if you actually use your cart and are active in The Villages. Get out and live!

We have a 2022 Evolution, it's a four-seater but not both forward facing. Had it since December of 2021, just turned over 3300 miles on it. I just drive it to church on weekends plus a few trips to town squares. Church is the golf course BTW... Love ours, did have to have the Battery Management Module replaced once. I get about 80 miles to a charge depending on how I drive. I did take it to work once, from Fenney up to the Polo Club. No issues. I do recommend getting a roadside service, as I did overestimated how much battery I had left and needed to get it towed.
I bought electric because it doesn't smell, I don't have to do oil changes and when we bought they had no gas stations south of the turnpike. That has changed and I will say this, if you run out of gas they can bring you a can of gas, you can't do that with an electric.....

Just waited 6 months for Warranty service on my Classic Evolution - battery. There dealer was slow and Evolution's warranty process was crazy. In the end, they replaced the battery at no cost, the original battery was 180 AMP, new one is only 160 AMP.
Needless to say I am NOT happy with them. |
