Yes. But it is like they donated the crappiest parcel of land for it as there is little feasibility of building a house on that steep an angle of land.

Because they knew that poop usually runs downhill.

Take a look at the dog park provided for the thousands of dogs between CR 466 and CR466A.
It's behind the Bonita Fire Station on a hill! It's a joke.
Brinson Dogpark is palatial in comparison.

We take our dogs daily to the private dog park on CR 101, Doggie Doo Run Run.
Their grass never needs to rest.
WHAT???? They are the same. You think you are talking about 2 dog parks....but you are talking about the same park.

The Brinson Perry Dog park "is" behind Station 51.

I seem to recall reading on this site that the Responsible Dog Owners participated in the development of Brinson Perry Dog. Maybe the complainers who did not participate should discuss their, "Johnny come lately" issues with those that did.

I believe the Responsible Dog Owners participated in the newer Atlas Dog Park not the older Brinson Perry behind the fire station.

That is correct. The RDOG group worked with John Rohan to plan the Atlas Park.

Lexi, my one year old Shih Tzu, got to go to a dog park for the very first time when we were in The Villages in December. We went to both Doggie Doo Run (near where we were renting) and Atlas Dog Park (that is near our home in Charlotte). Lexi loved both of the parks! I liked different things about both them. I do think Atlas could have a little more shade. It was great to finally get to see the bench that Mom and I adopted in memory of my father, brother and sister-in-law. I can't wait to we finally get to move to our Village home and use the parks on a regular basis.

You are absolutely correct. I was thinking of the new Atlas Dog Park which is larger and on level ground.
Brinson Perry Dog Park is behind the fire station on a hill.
I am sorry, I misspoke. Thank you for correcting me.
I also apologize to Licismom because I agree 100% with the point she was making about Brinson dog park being too small.

That ship has sailed. Not much can be done now about enlarging it.

I want a cat park and a pencil sharpener in the art rooms.

Actually, they could close it. Level the small area and maybe get some more land for it. Not sure what is to the north of it? https://www.google.com/maps/place/12...345943!6m1!1e1

Gracie, that is probably true. But I wasn't thinking of enlarging the existing dog park on a hill.
I keep hoping that the Developers will find it in their hearts to find a larger space for a dog park between CR 466 and 466A.
Perhaps near a wildlife preserve, but fenced so the coyotes can't get in. Although coyotes are pretty shy in the daytime.
I realize it would have to be "garbage" space that is otherwise uninhabitable.
We are happy to take our dogs to the private dog park; but that isn't feasible for a lot of busy people.
Without a dog park available, people will continue to take their dogs to the postal stations. That isn't a good solution for anyone.

They could take a chunk out of the water treatment plant's property though which is near that dog park unless there is something underground there that we cannot see.
