Default Hydrotherapy for Dogs

My dog had spinal surgery 2 weeks ago and needs hydrotherapy. Looking for recommendations near TV.

While living in Florida, one of our dogs went through the same thing and we were not able to find any hydrotherapy that was close by. Here is a list you can search on-line and read about them.

By the way, who did the surgery? Did they recommend anyone?

Affiliated Veterinary Specialists (AVS) - Maitland, FL
Hip Dog Canine Hydrotherapy - Winter Park, FL
Rocky's Retreat - Orlando, FL
Small Animal Hospital University of Florida - Gainesville, FL

Hope things are going well post-surgery. It takes time.

She went to Buffalo Ridge as an emergency patient. Dr. Vernon was there and ran diagnostic tests. She knew it was a spinal problem. Dr. Vernon contacted Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Gainesville. We brought Zuni there immediately and Dr. Herman examined her. After additional tests it was determined she had 3 discs bulging into her spinal cord. He operated the same day. Since the surgery she is back to Buffalo Ridge for laser therapy and acupuncture. It is 2.5 weeks since the surgery and she can stand on her back legs with minimal support. No sign of her trying to walk. That is why they suggested hydrotherapy.

1) We had a puppy that needed hydrotherapy because his back legs weren't working and we just blew up a small pool and worked with him there. Do you have a friend with a hot tub or pool?
2) If you need a person who knows what they are doing versus just getting back to using the legs, research some of the high end equestrian farms in Ocala or Reddick. When we had a thoroughbred who had surgery, the rehab place had both hydrotherapy for horses and police dogs. Maybe call the police and ask if they know of a place for police dogs?

We do have a pool but I have no idea on what to do with her in the pool. I checked and there is an equine/canine facility in Ocala. I am going to contact them today. Zuni is from Ocala and I flew down from NJ 6 years ago to pick her up.
