GatbTester, you are doing a kind and loving and unselfish thing and my heart goes out to you.

GatbTester - Choosing to give him peace instead of pain is truly unselfish and pure love, as you want the best for him. Of course, there are no words to help ease your pain right now, just the knowing that you are doing the right thing.

I'm sending you a big hug for strength. Your Jack Russell is lucky he has such caring parents. You are putting your friend's well being first, even though it is painful for you. I know how much you are hurting. My heart goes out to you.

Default Just the "King"

Brought tears to my eyes, I also have a dachshund named Moses, he runs the show and sometimes let's us ride with him in HIS golf cart....First dog that has taken to me, for 35 years all of our dogs loved Doug, but Moses follows me everywhere....Unconditional love, not sure I'm deserving, but gives me such lovely WET kisses....Thanks for sharing..

This was so special, thank you for sharing it with us!

GatbTester, you will be in my thoughts. I remember the last ride I had with my doxie, Snickers. It was so difficult, but I was with him until the very end. I think he knew that I didn't want him to suffer anymore, and I am sure he knew how much he was loved, and his "job" here on earth was done.

I am sitting here crying because I know how hard it is going to be for you.
