OMGosh what a beautiful face. Those eyes are so loving. Thank you for sharing him with us. I can't wait to find out his name.

I have been using Mulberry Animal Clinic, Dr Teitelbaum and Dr Vance for 5 years. I am very pleased with the entire clinic. I use Lady Lake Groomers on 441 in Fruitland Park. Jackie is the best groomer. I have a 5 year old Maltese/Shih Tzu who is my princess! she does well with both !

First, your puppy is adorable!
We use Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital near Walmart on 466. We came in 9/10 and very happy with them. They also are the only vet center open 24 hrs a day in case of an emergency.

My advice is to acclimate him/her to be combed since they have hair and not fur which can tangle easily. My Duffy hated to be groomed because I made it an issue and not a pleasent experience. I know that you didn't ask for advice but giving a maltese people food can be detrimental to their health. We gave Duffy dessicated liver treats which was pure without chemicals. I guess I have so much to say because I'm envious that you are about to experience a great love affair. Please share your puppy with us and what his/her name is. Oh, another thing we trained
Duffy to be paper trained and it was a fast and easy process and saved him from having to go on the Florida grass since he was so tiny he would disappear in the grass and we feared the toxins sprayed so often. Forgive me for giving unsolicited advice but I want you and your puppy to be as happy together as we were with Duffyand not make the mistakes we made.
Good Luck...

How very exciting for you. I am always a bit jealous of every new mom and the puppy breath and the snuggling you are about to get. Much good luck with your new baby. So much to teach and so much to learn about each other. May you be blessed with many, many wonderful happy, healthy years together. Good luck and please post pictures.

I agree with all of the above posts -- what a cutie. Please let us know what you decide to name him and post more photos.

The nicest dog park is the Mullberry Grove D.P. Seperate areas for large and small dogs. Fresh water, nice grass, bags for picking up and place to dispose of it, plus benches for the parrents to sit on. Lots of balls available to play with in the park. In addition it is free. Just have to be a village resident. Get there by golf cart so the pup gets a fun ride also. Open all day, dawn to dusk. Love it. J.T.

I want your puppy. But then I want every dog I see, big and small, young and old. I had a maltese a few years back named Punkin. I had a yorkie at the same time, what a cute little pair.

I agree with Tal, the best dog park is Doggie Doo Run Run on CR 101. For $25 a month, it is a real bargain. The premises are huge and clean .. they even pick up your dog's poop for you. And there are great pet owners there who love to socialize.

Whatever, you are beginning an adventure which will bring you so much love. Enjoy your little guy.
