Default Need caregiver for our 2 kitties

I'm hoping to find someone willing to board our two kitties for 2 weeks in June while we are away. They are a male and female, both 7 yrs old. One is a Persian and the other a Himalayan. I really don't want to place them in a kennel or have someone just come in for a short period of time each day to our house...I don't want them to be lonely. They both are very loving and like lots of TLC. The time frame is June 15th thru the 29th. If this is something you would be interested in doing, please send me a note and we can talk about it in more detail. Thanks much!

Honestly, I firmly believe that cats should stay in their own homes. Dogs are much more adaptable -- they can happily bounce from one house to another as long as they get loving, food and a comfie place to sleep. A cat usually will take days just to come out from under the bed. They need their smells to be home.

I agree with Redwitch. I think the cats would be much happier at home.

My two cats (ages 2 and 9) are great travelers and traveleld with us from Michigan to our St. Augustine Beach condo a lot.

Now, we go to TV and unfortunately most TV owners won't rent their homes to people with cats. So, we have to limit our visits to two weeks at a time and leave our cats at home. I pay a good friend to check on them every day. They love her and come running when they hear her voice.

They are going to love our lanai in The Village of Charlotte when we are able to move to TV full time.

I so agree with you. Our cat has never been boarded; when we travel, we have someone come into our home twice a day to take care of him. I hate to think of what would happen if we took him elsewhere and disappeared, since he was a (twice) rescued cat before he found his forever home with us.

We use trustedhousitters.com they come with references and police reports. They stay in your home while you are away. They get a working holiday, you get good pet care! We have never had a problem.
