I love this story, too funny! I think the restrictions stipulate "two domestic animals" per household. I guess if a duck enjoys stroller rides, and quacks hello to people, then he's probably domesticated.

Wikepedia lists Water Buffalo as a domesticated animal. Suddenly a duck doesn't sound so bad!i

well, sure, cows and horses and pigs and goats and some ducks are all domesticated animals. Doesn't mean you can keep them in your backyard.

I agree, the intention of the covenants is obviously dogs, cats and birds. And perhaps an occasional quacker.

My dad worked with a fellow at the bank who owned a house-broken 'indoor' duck. The people put newspapers in a litterbox in the garage, and the duck would tap on the garage door when he needed to go use the litterbox. You'd have to see it to believe it, but it's true!

No lie....I had a friend that had a "house duck" too! When she picked it up it would lay its neck & head on her shoulder!! Who would of thunk it!!!
