I enjoy seeing dogs riding in carts and wish I could take mine. They bark at everything and try to jump out. Been to puppy class and they passed them so that they wouldn't come back!
They love people. Dogs not so much.

My dogs are not old It is simply too hot to walk them mid day. They love their afternoon cart ride. ( Always harnessed in. ) Everyone knows a bored Puppy will cause trouble. Just like a child. Ride On !!!!

Rather presumptuous and rude of your neighbor to ask that question!

I had a look on my face indicating WELL YES OF COURSE.

My question is, am I weird or among others that do this.

NOTE: Mr. Buster will be 18 in March, can't see, can't hear, has no teeth, but I see excitement in him when I put him in his snuggle ball that I attach to the seat of the cart. His nose stays in the air sniffing and with tail wagging so I know he enjoys it.
Our dog only travelled by golf cart. She loved it and most of us in the Villages use the cart to take our dogs to a park or just for a ride. Your neighbor obviously has not known too many dog people here yet.

Mr. Buster is lucky to have such a caring owner. Both our dogs adore the golf cart, or anything else on wheels. They know that when we're in The Bubble, every day in the afternoon we head to Doggie Doo Run Run. By the time we get to the dog park, all the windows are covered with nose prints, and the dogs are hysterical with anticipation. Ah, life is so much better with dogs!

I imagine a sensory rush from travelling in the wind at a speed beyond doggie walks. I love seeing my puppy sniff the air from her command post in the cart, and boy oh, Golfingnut doesn't it feel good to give pleasure back to a dog that worships you every day?
First of all, is Emma dreaming of one of my long nose boys? Just wondering since I don't think noses come much longer. We'll have to find out one day.
And I think its wonderful that Busty still looks forward to his daily rides and that you take him out with you. I also love that there are so many people who are dog lovers out there.
I also want to say that it's not just little dogs that like a golf cart ride. This is my wonderful boy Mello that we lost last year enjoying a ride. I think he always wanted to drive.

Bailey loves the cart, he is the main reason we got a 4 seater. He would prefer I ride in the back but that is not happening. Buster is a lucky dog, I loved the pictures you posted.

When I visit The Villages I love to see dogs riding in golf carts with their humans, and I love to see dogs at the squares. So ride on little and big doggies!

Good for you. Our girl loves her daily ride in the cart and she's only 9. Unless you are a pet lover, I guess you cannot understand the love they give us unconditionally. Maybe your neighbor will one day hope someone does something as nice for him... Silly man.

Rockyisle, that is so true! I love happy dog threads. Pet lovers are such nice people.

And may Mr. Buster enjoy many more golf cart rides!

When I go to the pond across from the Savannah Center to feed the birds there are usually people walking their dogs in the area. Frequently the dogs jump into my cart and their owners will tell me how much the dogs enjoy cart rides.

Dogs and riding just seem to go together.

One quarter long haired chihuahua and 3/4 toy poodle. Just got back from his ride. He seems real confused today, but is tail is still waggin.
