Bosoxfan (Mr. & Mrs.),

I also volunteer at the sanctuary and in my three years working there Popeye is indeed one of my favorites. In fact he has been everyone's favorite! Thank you so much for taking a chance on him. I know it is a concern bringing in a new pet and introducing it to the established family pet. We all hope and pray in a short time everything with work out between your beloved Bonyta and Popeye.

That is great to hear. How is Bonyta accepting her new brother? Is she interested in him, or ignoring him?

Bonyta doesn't seem to care that Popeye is here.

Took Popeye for his first golf cart ride to the dog park. He loved the ride and got to mingle with 2 other dogs. One was a Boston terrier and the other was a 150 pound great dane.Popeye tried to dominate the great dane but I was able to control him with my voice which showed me how much he listens and wants to please. When we got home he went right in his crate and zonked out.Very successful journey for our first day together.Feel a little guilty we snuck out without Bonyta!

It's wonderful that you're already able to control Popeye with verbal commands. I am so happy for you all. And I bet Bonyta got a little extra love when you got home from the dog park!

Mrs. Bosox & I are planning on going to the dog park with both dogs around 4:45 this evening. Hope there are some big dogs there.

Rats! That's close to us. I would bring our golden over, but the Steelers are playing at 4:30. Maybe after New Year if you still want to get Popeye togther with a bigger dog.

Pats are playing@ 4:30 also . Dogs need the exercise so we'll be recording the game.

We "Sanctuary" ladies recently said there is not a Christmas present we wanted more than to have Popeye (and another dog we also placed yesterday, Hylander) in loving, wonderful homes like yours. Thank you for this wonderful gift. The New Year is a new life for these beautiful babies. May all rescue pups be this lucky.

Mr. & Mrs. Bosoxfan you have given me such a lift knowing that Popeye is now in a loving home and has a sweet companion as well. Christmas came early....
