When tinfoil hats aren't enough-- cat got your tongue?

CatStuff: Cat-Related Idioms / Phrases and their Origin

That idiom about cat got your tongue made me want to look for my tinfoil hat and be happy that I am not living in a country and/or age where I would get that meaning quickly. If that is the true origin of that phrase though. Looks like anyone's guess is as good as mine.
