Are you looking for a specific type of dog? There is the Florida Cocker Spaniel Rescue for example, Ratpack, and many others just google what dog rescues and Humane Society. PetSmart also has dog adoption events as well.

A couple of weeks ago we adopted a 6 year old pug. She bonded so quickly. She fits right into our household.

We adopted a little Shih Tzu from Shih Tzu Rescue of South Florida. We were so lucky to find a beautiful 2 year old little girl. The people at the rescue were fantastic. They checked us out thoroughly and visited our home here in TV. They spent approximately 2 hours with us. The total adoption time took approximately 2 weeks and they wanted to make sure we were getting the best dog for us. All shots were in order, spayed, etc. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for wanting to adopt your pet. In my opinion, you can't beat having a rescue pet. Saving a life and giving him or her a forever home is the only way to get a pet.

Recently we were made aware of a cute little 4yr old 16 lb Eskie Pomeranian named Frankie that is available for adoption via Eskie Rescuers United who we have used. This little guy is located in Eustis FL with a private owner and needs a good new home due to a change in the owners circumstances. We have the owners contact information for anyone interested.

We have used Eskie Rescue United - National Rescue and Adoption organization on the web with foster homes here in Florida that take loving care of these dogs while waiting to be adopted. We were contacted just recently about a little 4 yr old guy named Frankie (Eskie Pomeranian Mix) real cute dog who is up for adoption. If you look at previous adoption threads in the Pet Forum, there are many rescue places mentioned. Max's Pet Connection, Pet Lovers, Bratpack Rescue, Humane Societies, etc.
