Default maintenance-free batteries

My Star Car is 4 years old and will need new batteries soon, I think. I have asked some sellers about maintenance-free batteries. They just tell me "you don't want them, they're too expensive, you're better off with regular batteries and an automatic watering system." I really would prefer not to have to worry about the water at all. Are there any other drawbacks to these batteries besides the cost?

Default Maintenance Free Batteries

The reason that this type of battery has been discontinued from most cart dealers and suppliers is the fact that they have failed over short periods of time and not covered by warranty.
These batteries do not reach the published cycle life as expected and has given a considerable disappointment too many. The wet cell battery with a water fill system has proven to be the best source
of electric fuel supply for your cart. The battery with fill system is easy care and can replenish the evaporating water from your batteries in less than five minutes without a mess. Using a fill system also allows you to give a visual inspection of your carts battery compartment and connections.
