Default How about those Brewers! Congratulations.

I am a native cheesehead. Born in a hospital in Milwaukee even though I haven't not been to Milwaukee since 1991 and that was on Amtrak going through Milwaukee on the way to and back from Minneapolis on the way to New Orleans going through Chicago to switch trains.

I had gone to various places in Wisconsin but not to Milwaukee while living in Minneapolis.

My company operated a factory in Milwaukee that I visited many times.

I do like that the Brewers payroll is less than half of the Dodgers

It is going to be hard if the Tampa Bay Rays get to the World Series this year. I will not know whom to root for.

Good for the Brewers. Not so good for Baseball. Milwaukee is the smallest of small-market teams and both Cleveland and Tampa (the two possible opponents for the Brew Crew) are at best mid-market.

Dodgers against either Cleveland or Tampa would have been a classic David - Goliath matchup that would have garnered nationwide attention and first-line coverage. Now? Regional interest at best.

Congratulations to the Brewers.

Big excitement for Milwaukee and Wisconsin for sure.
We just return from Wisconsin, my home stomping grounds in September attending a Brewer game.

I know Milwaukee well, I drove a medical van out of the VA hospital with the
stadium next door.

Go Brewers and Packers

Seems you are saying New York, LA, and a couple more major market teams crowd won’t watch because their highly paid superstars are not playing. They are not playing because they underperformed the mid and small market teams. A Milwaukee sweeps of the Dodges was not luck, but superior play. Those that choose not to watch the World Series will be missing teams with the best players this year.

It’s been very refreshing to see both the Devil Rays take out the Evil Empire and the Brew Crew take out the Dodgers. Two of the three highest payroll teams in baseball got taken out by teams with approximately 1/3/of their payroll. Apparently, teams using smart analytics, disciplined team building, and good coaching can trump teams that simply spend exorbitant amounts of money on the players considered to be the best in the game.

I'm going to the game this Friday. A fortunate coincidence of a planned visit for my UW Oshkosh homecoming and my son being able to score two tickets for game 1 of the series.

When I visited for work, I would get one of those "healthy" Butter Burgers from Solly's.

Well in all reality this Baseball thing here in the USA is " Exhausting " & in the end finally the so called " World Series " which really isn't the World Series. Only (2) teams are foreign right next door Canadian.
When eventually the so called World finally takes place it goes on what feels like forever.
Baseball is traditionally a summer sport here we are closing in on " November ".
Enough is enough of the drama.
I remember M. Mantle, Joe D, J. Mize, Stan the Man & others > Days when it was enjoyable, but those days are a memory. Getting an autograph from those guys was, well natural...Now a Joke!

Broadcast schedule announced for the 2026 World Series presented by Capital One 403 Access Denied

I will probably watch some of it.

I recall living near the Metrodome when the Twins won the World Series in Minneapolis. The city went bonkers.

If the Milwaukee Brewers win the World Series and go bonkers, they'll have to rename
Lake Michigan Lake Wisconsin.

We are lifetime Dodger’s fans. We will watch the World Series because we aren’t petty, and we enjoy watching good baseball no matter who’s playing. We had two great years in a row with our Dodger’s, so go Brewers! They deserve it after that pennant wipe out. I hope they win it all!
