Default Hacienda Hills

Played it on Friday 5/23, and the fairways were beautiful - maybe the best in The Villages.

Good to hear, but then again, the conditions better be good to justify the green fees. For the first time in 10 years of being Villager’s, starting June 1st Hacienda Hills will be charging the same greens fees as every other course north of 44, except for Palmer and Orange Blossom. Hacienda has always been a discount course, with greens fees falling between Orange Blossom and every other course, even before the clubhouse, restaurant, pool, tennis courts, etc… we’re all torn down and replaced with Villas. Apparently, the course owner is banking on golfers having a short memory of what transpired at that site, as well as the fact that it’s the only Championship course north of 44 without a clubhouse and restaurant.

You don’t build a billion business by randomly setting prices and hoping people buy that product.

I would guess they looked at tee time data and saw rounds at HH were similar to others in that price range.

Played it Memorial weekend. Fairway conditions have declined in the last week. Disappointed sums it up.

Still good. Lack of rain does make a difference. Sprinklers can not duplicate the effects of several good rain showers.

Should have never been allowed to build more housing in already built out over crowed area sold to district years go. They threaten to build parking garage, so! better than over crowding the area even more. But, what the developers want they get

They wouldn’t have added the additional housing if they weren’t able to strong arm the AAC into granting them 300 more Ammenity rights to sell with the housing. Anyone who believes the CDD’s, and the various alphabet soup named committees, are truly independent is naive, at best.

Sitting on the 3rd t box at the Lakes 9 right now waiting for group in front of me. No complaints at all about the conditions, the front 9 (Palms) was very good also. 18 holes for the evening rate at $24 is a great deal: )

I’m impressed reading TOTV while playing golf!:

Well, the first 11 holes took an hour and fifteen minutes, then ran into a couple of very slow groups and the last 7 holes took an hour and 45 minutes. Had to do something with all the time spent waiting. Didn’t want to be that guy standing there with my hands on my hips staring down the slow players.

Played Hacienda Hills, Lakes to Oaks today, Tuesday 6/3/2025. The only green that was damaged was a 4 ft diameter spot on the 9th hole of the Oaks, in the front. It was easy to putt over. The rest of the greens were great. They had recently verticut the greens, so they were pretty quick and less grainy compared to the practice green. The ball set up in the fairway, some fairways were like lush carpet. No problem finding balls in the rough, but summer is coming.
