Wish I had known Sidney sang...would have loved to have had a performance the night we were all together. That would have been so entertaining!

Hi All,

I am sitting here looking at all that I have to accomplish in my house. It gets overwhelming at times. Still haven't finished unpacking from France because we had to leave practically immediately to go to Boston for medical appointments - now back - and no one waved the magic wand making everything go away. Personally I was very disappointed no one came in and cleaned everything up.

Nonie do you still have that backhoe? We donated about 15 boxes of stuff to one fund raising event and now in the process of getting stuff ready for a yard sale.

In TV I did not have to deal with any of this stuff, must admit I did not deal with the stuff I had to. We did accomplish a couple of major goals in TV - our home is nearly finished.

Found when I was in TV my head was in vacation mode. Things that I thought I would do did not get done because there were other things - of a fun nature - competing for my time. You can all guess which won out.

Now that I am back home I have to sit myself down and get all of these things accomplished. I would rather be in TV in a vacation mode with only fun idyllic things to do or think about. I miss not spending time with Barefoot in the pool just enjoying ourselves, courses on Parapsychology, listening to tapes with Nonie, watching the sun go down with Chels, Donna with her wonderful smile, Sam with her wonderful garden - when I saw unique hand made jewelry I thought of you immediately, and the list goes on - VK hope you are enjoying yourself by the pool, and 007 hope you are not drinking up all of my favorite diet soda that they do not sell here, Kathie where is my lemonade?, Travel my newspaper? Red how are yard sales? I could go on and on. I am getting more depressed.

I feel so fortunate to have all of these wonderful memories. Laugh when I think of Susan and Bright and the FREEZE, I do not know if anyone else knows this - but Vetman was worried about all of us doing the Freeze. He felt that someone would make a call to 911 stating that there are people who are not moving and may need immediate help. Not only that he put pink sticky notes on chairs so that we would have a place to sit after the Freeze.

Rok what is the update with New Years Eve?

Well - just realized I have been rambling and not working. Will get down to some serious work now and think about all of you and TV,

Gosh my life seems boring compared to yours.

Nope, the Backhoe is still there but ,would you believe we do have a buyer for it when the time is right. Engineer guy may still want to move some dirt around so that will probably be the last thing to go. ::)

HB, I was unable to attend the meeting last month, but expect to hear from the Volunteers Performing Arts Alliance and their thoughts about New Years Eve. Quoted from website:"Our next Volunteer's Meeting will be held on Monday, September 8 at Laurel Manor Recreation Center starting at 7:00 pm. We look forward to updating you with events from our various committees." I am making sure to keep this date open in Sept. to see what was discussed. I will update if I hear sooner. I am emailing them right now. I miss everyone not here (hurry back!) and need to see those here ASAP!!! PM with impromptu get togethers, lunch, pool, etc... I am only committed to work on Thursday, next week!! woohoo!! Any girls want to go see "Sex in the city" with me when it comes out??? Anyone want to go bowling sometime?? Pool time anyone?? To heck with the housework!

No rain and my lawn is starting to show it, but I refuse to water more than once a week, even if it is reclaimed water (I am an active conservationist). I hear the rainy season has been delayed until mid June because of the jet stream. It's OK though because this is the SUNSHINE state! 8)

Speaking of Sunshine and rain... Does anyone use rainbarrels in the Villages? They're coming into fashion out here in the desert. I saw some lovely ones on "Living with Ed" and I wondered if they would be something worth exploring.
They make some that look like pots, so maybe they would be allowed? :dontknow:

Yes Sam, right you are, Im getting tired of gazing out my window at the gloom & doom.

Its just amazing how the sunshine makes you feel sooooooo much better. Plenty of it to go around in TV. :( Well, I take it that this weather is going to shoo you out of the northeast pretty darn quick! crap

Yep, I intend to saddle up this coming week. I want to meet with some realtors yet. Still not sure about listing the Pa house. Greenspan says the housing crunch will improve in early '09. That's right around the corner. I guess prices in TV will start to go up before to long. I was going to actively try to sell the Mallory house upon my return. Now I'm not sure about that either. What I am sure about is I am coming home.. and soon!!!!!!!!!

Hey Sam, we signed our contract tonight. We have to wait the usual 3 day period to finalize. They want to be in our home by June 26th and that is fine with us. I think we are Villagers now. St. Joseph will be dug up Thursday morning from his earthly surroundings and put in the curio cabinet for a life of luxury, well deserved I might add........Johnny

Donna, you are correct about the rain. It is so yucky here today and my spirits are as damp as the weather.
Red, I'm jealous that you get to ride by my house and I don't. We got a call from the neighbor last night pretending they were having a big pool party over at our house. He is a hoot. Thank goodness I'll be home soon. I miss the sunshine and palms but most of all my friends.

Hi All,

We have just finished packing the mini van with more things that need to get down there. If all goes well our mini van will be leaving tomorrow or the day after.

Once again the mini van will take our son, his girl friend and our grand son "pups" to TV. There is no room for us. :'( Pups uses the back seat as his personal couch and the floor between the rows of seats as his own personal space. He does travel with a pillow. :)

Pups really likes DDRR, Aya can not wait to drive the golf cart - so Chels beware.

They will have a fantastic time down there. That makes us feel great.
