Hey Frannie. You're absolutely right. The new Loonies and Toonies Club is also meeting Nov 9 at La Hacienda for the "kick-off" meeting, which should be great! I think we have around 200 members.

It is extremely unfortunate that both Clubs meet the same night. Apparently the Recreation Department wants similar interest clubs to meet at the same time, which I thinks is nutty, but I don't make up the rules. I'm a member of the Canadian Club and would like to also attend that meeting.

Hope to meet up with you soon! I wonder when most Canadian Snowbirds or Seasonal Residents will be arriving on Campus.

Default "devil in the Queen's hair"

While I am not full blooded, I did spend May through August in Fort Erie (Crescent Beach) for 20 years which kinda makes me 1/3 Canadian. The reason for this out of topic reply is when my Dad died we found in his desk an envelope containing Canadian paper money wrapped in a letter stating "devil in the Queen's hair". It took awhile to find what he was talking about but sure enough in the Queen's hair on the right side the curls make what I guess could be interpreted as a picture of something. You can clearly see eyes, nose and mouth. These bills are dated 1954 coincidently the year I was born. While I am not "Rosemary's baby" I wonder if he had a premonition. Anyway, are these bills worth something to collectors? The denominitions are $1, $2, $10 and $20. I would be happy to show them when we arrive in mid September.
