Default clubs and activities
Just moved to The Villages, I moved in w/my parents I'm only 38 I was wondering what clubs and activities I would be able to do. I understand and respect the rules like for age limit for softball, just wondering if every activities and clubs were like that?

Try Zumba. There are lots of classes, both regular Zumba and Zumba Gold (slower but still a good workout). Read the back of Thursday's Recreation News for classes and locations.

A lot of what you can do depends on what hours you will be working. There are still many activities in the evenings and on Saturdays. You will be able to do a lot of things. Pick up one of the schedules in any rec center. Hope you enjoy this place like we do.

When I have visited The Villages, I have enjoyed taking the "Walking for Fitness" classes. There are several offered in The Villages. Hope to participate again during my visit in September.

Pickleball!!!! great sport. lots of opportunities to play for all levels. you will meet nice people and you are young--you won't ache afterwards.

If you are a trivia loving person, also check out the weekly Rec. News for the trivia nights in The Villages. I have been to a couple during previous visits and had lots of fun.

The majority of the activities are not age restricted. That being said the neighborhood pools are 30 and over.
